So it will be the first away day under the Marcus Bignot era against Eastleigh tomorrow. Hopefully we can build on the win and get a positive result, with Eastleigh having a number of players injured. I will be making the long journey myself, and can’t wait for it. Come On You Blues! Score: Eastleigh 0-1 Chester FC (Akintunde) Attendance: 2,098 (131 Chester) COYB!

Hmm Rio if this goes badly you know everyone is going to blame you for getting in first with the predictions... Have a great day out down there!
I reckon a 1-1 draw which would be a decent result away from home.

To climb out of the bottom 4 would be excellent, finally start looking forwards. However this is going to be a tough game won by the odd goal i think. I'm going to go for 1-2 Blues, with Hannah to get his first brace since returning. Would be happy with a point but Eastleigh aren't exactly flying regardless of where people think they'll be come end of this season.

At the start of the season you'd have said these were two tough fixtures but now they look like opportunities. I suspect both teams are in false positions and will finish the season at least in the top half.

I've already cast my prediction on another thread. 3-3 Why another thread?

I've already cast my prediction on another thread. 3-3 Why another thread? That was just a predictions thread. This is a proper matchday thread. Don’t know why two other threads needed to be posted when everything could have just been done in this thread.

I will be there, a 45 minute drive for me. Not expecting to snatch a lucky 0-3 this time, expecting a good performance and an unlucky 1-1 draw with our second goal being wrongly disallowed.

I still have no idea how we won that 3-0 last year. Can't see them same happening, If we play positive and the defence is solid I'll go for 1-2, Hannah. COYB

Will be extremely pleased with a draw today. Look to win the home games, look to avoid defeat (albeit not in a Jon McCarthy way) away from home. I've predicted 1-1 in the (not so) Super Six thread, and that would be a great result. MB has had a full week to work with the squad now, be interesting to see what he's done with them, his solo session before last weekend's game worked absolute wonders, a completely different team (or at least appeared like it!) won that game last weekend. Let's build on that with another impressive performance and hopefully we can bring a share of the spoils (at least!) back home at 4:45pm!

I'm guessing it must be under serious circumstances. any pathetic excuse Just to dodge injuries or the fact we might have the "New manager syndrome" has scared them off?

Waterlogged pitch according to the Chronicle.

Another tinpot club screwing away fans out of money through poor organisation. That's a disgrace.

Infuriating. 40 miles away only to hear it is postponed for a waterlogged pitch. Come on, we are in september not February. This isn’t the first time as well, just look at Halifax and Solihull previously. What a joke.

No rain for 2 hours and they call it off at 12:30.. Something tells me they have injuries or the fact we've got that "New Manager Syndrome" I don't believe for one minute this excuse is genuine.

The fact that they have made the call this late in the day probably means they made very effort to get the game on I guess. Doubt they would be scared of us, we're nothing to be feared...
This is an inconvenience but is to be expected at this level. Especially with the standard of referee who is accountable for making the decision to postpone

Their pitch is pretty terrible, or at least it was when I went the season before last.
Pretty poor really, especially two hours before kick off. Personally I think football's gone a bit soft and we need to just get these games played even if the pitch isn't great. It's not like the weather's going to get any better in the next few months.

There local paper was saying that there injuries might force the team to have only a few subs that tells me they wouldn't really try and get the game on. September and this happens and it will be the only game off!!
Bet there are local pub teams playing close by without any issues

Some pretty far-fetched theories here I think. The ref calls games off, not the club.

Just when we get a bit of momentum going this happens. It's so infuriating. Postponements need to be made before the supporters coach sets off. Duncan has allegedly put £10m into this project, but cannot spend a bit of money on a decent drainage system. My dislike for tinpot clubs like this increases.

What I'm saying is would they try that hard to get the game on with the amount of players out? Not far fetched really it will be the only game called off today
