A left back if true; only 22 and done more clubs than Bernard Manning!

A left back if true; only 22 and done more clubs than Bernard Manning! Has had 4 clubs starting at Barnsley, the rest being on loan, and all his games have been played at a higher level than we are at, including League 1, so could be a decent signing. A six footer as well. The club has appointed a general manager who is serving his notice at another club and will take up his duties at the beginning of April.

Averagely whelmed until proved different 😐 Chesterfield are more of a basket-case than us this season. Is it a loan?

It won't be Maguire thank God, but he must not be able to take over and make catastrophic decisions like Maguire did. The fans need to be fully informed of what he's doing on a regular basis.

Why do I have an uneasy feeling about this? The use of ‘his’ tells us it’s a male. Hope it’s not Hartlepool he’s leaving. Could be Mike Brown who has just left Southport. Young, ambitious lad who has a degree in football business and media and has already cut his teeth at Ashton, Manchester FA and Southport.

If it is Michael Brown then we would be taking on a very determined and dedicated young man who lives and breaths football organisation. From an early age he has dreamt of being a full time general manager at a professional football club and CFC and its fan owned set up will certainly appeal to him . . . fingers crossed.

Not Michael Brown, he has gone to Oldham. Think I read that the new person is relocating so presumably not currently local.

Michael Brown was Southport’s head of media, not general manager.

We’ve got a duo of managers, so maybe it’s a duo of General Managers - Danny and Rio!

Noticed one Macclesfield player has said on social media he’s not been paid for over 2 weeks. This happened the season they won the league, wonder what the issues are.

Talking of Macclesfield, Adam Dawson signed for them a few weeks ago but will not be allowed to play for them this season because he has already played for Telford and ourselves.

Potentially the most pointless signing in history then I thought this was a fairly well known rule, has made the club and player look a bit daft. Amazed how surprised he sounds Chronicle link

If he (Dawson) cant play does that mean he cant get paid?, surely thats a breach of Employment Law?

So Dawson has signed a contract until the end of the season but can’t play for Macc as already played for two clubs. From his and Macc’s perspective he’s getting paid for nothing. However could Macc Loan him to Telford or Chester to make sure he plays..... not that I’d want him really but just a theory, that way they could get something back to cover some of his wage. Just a query.

He would be allowed to play at an even lower level too. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but at some point the level doesn't count towards the three clubs rule.

Very much doubt Telford will touch him, so might be worth a punt to bring him back to Chester?
