We’ve seen lifetime memberships, C10 and more recently. My suggestion has probably been mentioned many a time but it’s not one I’ve seen, although I have seen a goal pledge.
My suggestion: 200 members would be the aim Donate £2 for every point we pick up from now, until the end of the season. Should we achieve a very healthy points total, or even something fairly good like 75-80, 200 people could make a big difference. I think a perk of this fundraiser is that people probably wouldn’t notice £2 in a week if we draw, or £6 if we won. There will be games we lose of course, meaning nothing in terms of funds. I’d expect 200 regular donators average would give us approx £20000. Its not going to move mountains, but it’s maybe keeping a key player next season.

One of the better fundraising ideas I've seen of late on here, I'd do it, just assume it would take alot of admin work direct debits etc, not sure how or who would manage it.

I'd support it, nice idea! Kind of gives fans the feeling they're getting something for their money as well.

Who can make the best name for the idea? Pound a point would work if it was simplified to £1 a point but I guess if people are prepared to do that then a fair share would be prepared to go up to £2 a point.
I’m a fan of the idea, pretty unique.

Reminds me of the "pound a goal" one we used to do regularly in the '90s. Excellent idea.

A good fund raising idea which I am sure will appeal to some of the regular donators who support most initiatives. It might even have some appeal to those who mainly like to reward success rather than generallly chip in whatever the current status of performance. Problem may be if we are really successful and say win 5 games in a month and people are then committed to £30. Great basic idea though that might need a tweak to make it successful and manageable administratively.

If it was started soon it could even give Bern and Jonno some money to play with as the promotion race heats up towards the end of the season.
Maybe offer levels, or basically let people choose how many pounds per point they wish to donate. Might be getting too complicated from a simple idea here, mind.

Not to diffuse responsibility - but as someone commonly around the club, would you be well placed to put this suggestion towards the group?
The idea came from pounds per goal in the 90s, just slightly re-invented. I'll happily e-mail, anyone could do that, i think a face to face suggestion from someone would make way more sense.

I don’t know anyone on the fundraising group personally, best off emailing fundraising@chesterfc.com IMO 👍

A great way for us Exiles who can’t attend as much as we’d like but want to support our club. I’m in !

I received an email from sqzl last night.
It's a tough one. If the club launches something like this, there are those who will say "Why are you asking the same old people for more money!?!" especially with the Christmas Raffle ongoing. Furthermore, I was hoping to sell some more Claim Your Turf plots as Christmas presents and I'd also hoped to build up the Seals Lottery this season but despite increasing the publicity around the results, ticket sales have not significantly increased.
Nonetheless, there does seem to be a demand for a "reward for success" type promotion, I'm tempted to go with £1 a goal - or whatever number of pounds per goal - as people of familiar with that idea as we've run it in recent seasons. Is that a worse thing than £1 a point? I'd run this as a Squadbuilder promotion and aim to set something up next week with payments made as BACS transfers or via the ticket office. I've been waiting for confirmation but I sure there are still some Squadbuilder boxes in the ticket office if you need somewhere to keep your £1s!

It sounds like Fan Engagement rather the Fundraising. Done formally by the club, I am not sure whether there would be legal issues with drivers requiring CRB checks, etc due to potentially vulnerable people being picked by strangers. Furthermore, co-ordinating it could become a full time role for one of our volunteers.

Nothing stopping lift share appeals coordinated on the various unofficial social media pages. Generally though I would imagine most fans have their own matchday transport routines sorted.
A lot of excellent ideas on this and other threads that I believe the FEWG can get stuck into. We haven't met for a month but will convene very soon.

Someone else's idea but what about getting collection boxes set up at the ground, in the name of free ticketing for school kids. I'd throw in a few quid from time to time and I'm sure it would collect a fair amount of money

Not seeing DevaChat is not an excuse, because most times I visit the club in the day someone in the front office is browsing it.

I do read this site and this thread in particular, as you'll know cos I've responded to it.
When silverblue replied I was keeping quiet and watching how the votes for the Pound per Point idea went. Due to the low number of positive votes it didn't encourage me to request that volunteers in the Fundraising Working Group commit their time to it.
If people wanted to do this, there is nothing to stop them. Squadbuilder boxes are available from the office or the money can be kept in a jar and donated via the optons on this site www.chesterfc.com/squadbuilder/
