I was astounded and shocked to read a tweet from Rio today stating that the club has asked him to curtail his excellent matchday vlogs and he has also been threatened with ejection from the ground at a recent match , understandably he is quite upset at this and so will his many followers who watch them ,yet again our club shoots itself in the foot.đ

As pointed out on Twitter it is against ground regulations and has been for years. Unfortunately he âgot caughtâ by a steward at the last home match. What the club can do is invite him onto the media team where he can carry out his excellent work under official auspices.

FFS it's the swansway not the fooking Nou camp turn a blind eye who is going doff us in and what would the consequences be if they did ?

It would be as stated an excellent idea to invite Rio onto the media team and do his stuff on behalf of the club for supporters young and old . This maybe due to our sometimes over zealous stewarding thinking off the tool in the car park who you hear constantly gobbing off .

It's not just our ground it's regulations at all grounds across the Country
I remember Hinckley Stewards telling our fans to stop taking photos when we visited them a few season's ago
also happened last month a 14 year old was threatened at Chelsea vs Forest game where Chelsea stewards manhandled him

I fully accept that there has to be rules etc but I think a gentle quiet word would have been the best approach Threats of ejection, if that's what actually happened, just seems to me to be a bit OTT

Just stating facts mate. I donât make the rules. I've always enjoyed Rio's highlights and he comes across as a dedicated, bright young man who cares deeply for our club. That said, the club have a duty to uphold the rules of the football authorities once a breach of such rules is drawn to their attention. I do not know what the penalties are for breach, but I'm assuming it would be greater if the club were seen to be condoning such a breach. I hope that the club and Rio can work something out to the benefit of both parties.

A steward on minimum wage throwing his ample weight around picking on young kids. People higher than that jobsworth know who Rio is, why didnât they have a word with him themselves. When will the stewards realise theyâve got no authority.

From what I can piece together from Twitter Rio was asked several times not to do this over the last few games as it is a breach of league rules which are displayed on your way into the ground, he has continued to do it ignoring the rules and then complained on Twitter about the club enforcing the rules. Personally I think the Fact that the Club via Jono have invited him to training on Tuesday is an excellent touch but we can't just ignore the rules especially when he has been asked not to already and ignored it !.

I really do appreciate all of your support which means loads to me, although I believe it isnât really necessary to create a thread about this as I am hoping to get this issue sorted on Tuesday. Still though, thanks for all of your support đ.

However, when it comes to a young lad passionate for out proud club they act like the Third Reich. Absolute joke stuff! Instead of threatening a top blue how about the stewards start stewarding!

Personally I think the Fact that the Club via Jono have invited him to training on Tuesday is an excellent touch but we can't just ignore the rules especially when he has been asked not to already and ignored it !. Sorry bluemission but that is completely wrong. I was told not to record halfway through the second half of the Curzon Ashton game and if the steward was to come over again I would be forced to leave (which I think is over the top). The thought of me being forced to leave the ground came to a shock, therefore I stopped recording after the steward came over. Also, I have not seen a single sign around the ground in regards to recording matches which is why I was unaware of any consequences. As I said before I have been invited to have a meeting on Tuesday with various club officials which I have accepted, so hopefully something will be sorted out for me. As for my vlogs, I understand the National League have certain requirements so itâs very likely that I wonât be able to record the match for future videos. However, I have received a lot of praise for my work which I really appreciate, hence I will continue to publish vlogs (but will just have to record my face and not the action) which I will just have to accept. Letâs just see what entails on Tuesday đ.

The signs have been up since the ground was built pretty much, itâs FA regulations across the country. This is basically Olivolley 10 years later.
Hopefully you can join the clubs official media team.

Sorry but how long now has Rio (as a ball boy for the majority of the time) been posting video's on this forum? how many directors of the club have seen these video's yet nothing has been said previously? Does this coincide with Rio no longer doing his ball boy duties or am I just been over sceptical here

Next home match in the 16th minute ( Rio's age) we should all to a man stand with our mobile devices pointed towards the pitch as if we are videoing the game and see how our big brave stewards react đ

Probably the club are happy or have been to this point so I assume the highlights have been pointed out to the league, as the quality is great. The league throw a hissy fit and demand action from the club. He apparently was told to stop and consequences pointed out. Didnât like it so threw rattle out of pram and attacks the club on twitter to boost his cause. Why not just approach Banksy or the board direct to sort it instead of making a song and dance about something that is beyond the control of the club? Not sure what his end game is but itâs bonway to gain the support of the club by attacking it and a few others then piling in throwing insults at stewards etc. Totally unnecessary in my humble opinion.

Why would I want to attack the club I love and have followed around the country for the past few years? All I wanted to do was post my views to the public (because I have a right to) as their are tonnes of young lads associated to fellow National League clubs who are still allowed to record which I thought was a tad unfair on myself. For the umpteenth time this will all be sorted on Tuesday!
