A new transfer rumour thread, feel free to post what you've heard.
The twitter account from last season is back, pretty much predicted what squad we ended up with at the start of the season. The first one is Anthony Dudley is off to Southport once his loan deal with us expires. Heard that a few times on here

I heard that he was signing for Stockport. Surely he's better than Southport isn't he. Although performances lately haven't been up to much.

Yep, Southport are throwing stupid money about. They're underachieving massively really. Didn't they loan Gilchrist to Stockport though, citing his wages as a problem? Usually things like that are the first signs that the cash is drying up. I personally think that where we are is where Dudley is in terms of current ability. No doubt he has potential as he's still young and will only get better, but he's a flat track bully and often is found hiding against a good team or at a tricky away fixture.

Listening to his podcast this week (with Gareth Seddon) I doubt very much that he would leave Altrincham to come here. Although, if by some miracle we could attract Alty's manager Phil Parkinson, then who knows.

Apparently was gonna sign for us in December until someone in blues bar after alty game started giving him and his family shit Believe it was all verbally agreed that he was coming before this happened in the Blues Bar, another great example of how occasion our support don’t help ourselves at times , some of the stuff on Twitter etc is embarrassing

I like Ryan Astles to come back, but I believe he’s on a two year contract. Fairly sure he would have stayed if the managerial situation had been sorted earlier. Couldn’t ever fault Ryan’s commitment in a Blues shirt!

We need a summer like the summer of 2012 when we recruited a phenomenal squad of players that went on to win this league with record points and goals. What is the difference between now and seven years ago? Is it a money thing? Is it a scouting thing? Are the quality players still out there? Are we no longer attractive to high calibre players? I’m not advocating bringing back Neil Young, but his knowledge of what went on could prove invaluable to the current incumbents. Is it possible for a meeting to take place between the three of them?

The club lost almost 100k that season dispite attendances of almost 3000, without doubt Neil recruited some quality players Sarc , Ash Williams etc but to suggest he did it on a shoe string budget or indeed comparable to the current situation would be untrue. Worth noting the conf north is significantly stronger now

I feel it is lacking in quality and is of a poor standard.
