What do people think will be an acceptable return from a tough bunch of fixtures?
I think anything more than 12 will be a bonus!

It will be an achievement to actually complete those eight fixtures in the first month given our track record over the last few seasons.
If we do then i would be hoping for 16 points.

My 12 points is based on W3 D3 L2.
Maybe we can break the mould and avoid defeat by Altrincham.

8 games in August but only 4 in September. Seems daft, especially when August is a holiday time for many fans

If we go with the high press game with a fully fit Stopforth and Asante I would go for 20 points, unbeaten with 2 draws Alty and Spen. If Stopforth and Asante are not ready to fire then as a minimum 12-15 points

If Stopforth and Asante are not ready to fire then as a minimum 12-15 points I didn't ask how many points we think we'll get, I asked what will be acceptable. I based the 12 points on the very cautious view that we don't know whether we'll hit the ground running and there are teams in there that we generally don't do well against. We conceded a lot of goals in our first 8 games last season, so there is much room for improvement on that front. Like I said everything above 12 point will be a bonus in my view. Coyb.

I believe the league are trying to get fixtures out the way whilst the pitches are in good condition and before the winter weather arrives.

A big slice of positivity! (Humble pie on standby just in case) I think after the past few seasons we need to temper our optimism with caution, after all this is Chester FC.

There are no cup games in September and we wont be snowed in, so surely 6/6 or even 7/5 would make more sense.

Bet you never called for Asante to go after his first 3 games and goals ? He is an asset albeit probably part time influence or off the bench but he has a role to play...unless you want to pay full EFL transfer fees and wages ? You get what you pay for and Asante is worth the risk. Stop being also argumentative. We are all supporters ffs !

Bet our managers and players love alleged supporters like you ! You quoted yourself, you absolute simpleton Got to see the funny side of that. First he accuses RCB of saying something he didn’t say then he quotes himself - not Happy Clapper’s finest hour😀 to err is human though so let’s not be too hard on him.
