Each year I subscribe to the Blue and White magazine produced by Neil and Richard Bellis. It is always a good read and this month there are excellent articles by Jim Green and Chris Mathewson, MP.....and I am only up to page 7!
i urge all Chester supporters to either subscribe to the magazine by post if you do not get to many games, or buy it on match day. It’s well worth the price and I think all profits go to the youth academy.
Happy reading!

An update...what else is there to do on a wet Wednesday! Now I’ve read the whole magazine there are excellent articles on VAR, an interview with our managers about the class of 92 telly programme and Chester’s worse striker. Does anyone remember a guy called Fitzgerald, an Irish international, who was our centre forward around 1960 and failed to score in his first 12/15 games? Was he worse than Rapley?
I’m not on commission but do get the Blue and White!

I’m not on commission but do get the Blue and White! I remember Peter Fitzgerald very well. We bought him from Leeds and he played for us for 2 seasons, scoring a few goals. The fans always claimed he was a good player but the rest of the team was shite so made him look poor. In his defence, he was capped several times for the Republic of Ireland, including a game when he was with us.

It's a cracking read to be fair, fantastic value for money.

Thanks very much for your kinds words Geoff! Maybe we ought to get you on commission!
This season the profits will be going to the Sports Hub, but in the past we've given money to lots of different parts of the club.
It's £2 as always, and we'll be selling it at the game on Saturday.

I’m not on commission but do get the Blue and White! My father used to call Fitzgerald 'a fart in a bottle'. I was only 9 when he signed and seemed to remember he was quite tall with a flock of red hair. I think as a 9-year old and with his reputation he ought to be scoring a hat-trick every week and was disappointed when he didn't. Then along came Ron Davies ~~~ what a player!

The only reason that I've never bought this Fanzine in the past is that I subscribe to various publications, but never read them. I think I will make an effort to buy it in future as the profits go to a good cause.
