You've just contradicted yourself there Stortford. You’re right. I meant never subjectively, as in “we never beat Alty at their place” 😉

Why did the bucket collections stop, remember being asked for loose change at the last WXM home game? Didn't we sign Robbo off the back of that. Im sure that would raise a couple hundred each month.

What's the difference? I didn’t use the term “on principle” but as I said, “never ever” was over the top, I should have said “unless money was no object”. As I said, I don’t object to people donating. I object to the idea of us needing donations to be competitive.

Me too. As I've said before, I understand that everyone is a volunteer, but it's a really poor effort not to even follow up on initiatives once they have got underway and people have committed to them - I bet this amounts to a few hundred pounds at least that the club isn't getting. A while ago it was stated that the on-line record of who had signed up was lost, and that the records were being regenerated somehow another way - but how long does this take?

Surely the job of the paid General Manager would be to make sure that all creditors are invoiced on time, he is paid to run the gaff off the pitch no?

Pound a goal subscribers were listed in the programme on Saturday. Not sure if it's all of them though.

Sponsor A Goal was being run by the Fundraising Team but the person responsible has had a lot going on in their life.
I have been promised the data today. Once I have the data, I will get the invoices out. As yet, I don't know how much work is involved so cannot give time scales but it will be my priority.

That's a shame, I was hoping for a 9 page meltdown over this and now you've explained the situation that won't happen 🤣 keep up the good work though. I'm sure if it comes to it people would be happy to be honest and just send donations to the value of the pledge per goal at the end of the month anyway

I used to do the lotto was £10 a month, my wife accidentally cancelled the direct debit, I called the club and was told someone would get back to me this failed to happen and I e mailed them to get it set up again but again no one ever got back to me so I gave up asking. That was probably over a year ago so a sizeable amount from me that has been thrown away as an exile it was my bit to always try and put something in the pot. Like has been said above I understand that this club is run by the hard work and effort of so many volunteers and I wholeheartedly applaud you all, but we still seem to fail in many already established areas. Wonder why we always seem to lurch just above financial meltdown.

Are we still doing the scratch cards (not the Super Seals ones) that have different football clubs on them? That’s gone a bit quiet because the last post I can see regarding them was the Farsley Celtic home game in August.

That’s gone a bit quiet because the last post I can see regarding them was the Farsley Celtic home game in August. Sadly not Rio, this is due to the decline in numbers on the Fundraising Working Group and the declining health of those who remain.
Anyone willing to sell them on a match day - please get in touch
