It’s been talked about by the managers and players they are there until the dark evenings return then the evening sessions will return to the Deva( no floodlights at Officers). They will I think though still be based there Monday & Friday mornings for this season anyway.
Migh5 all change if the King George project happens!

It’s been no secret that they’ve been training there since coming back for pre-season.

What benefit can be gained from having a kickabout on a third of an AstroTurf pitch?

Also trying to get access to these pitches in the evening is a nightmare due to private hires and local leagues

It was discussed extensively at the last informal CFU meeting that we train here, we are averse to using 3G/4G as a few of the players don't respond well to artificial pitches and would likely increase the chance of injury.

Maybe training on artificial pitches has been responsible for our inordinate amount of injuries last season.

Also trying to get access to these pitches in the evening is a nightmare due to private hires and local leagues I didn’t like it when I first came here 9 years ago but here in Norway, there are many pitches in the top two leagues which are 4G including my local side Mjøndalen. Playing on 4G is fast and involves a short passing game but still draws a few fouls and tumbles. Surprisingly there haven’t been too many serious injuries this season. Having said that, I still prefer football to be played on grass. Preferably at 3pm on a Saturday as opposed to 6pm on a Sunday.

Keeping possession of the ball in tight spaces 5v5 Winning back possession Passing in tight spaces Short throw ins I agree, we shouldn't be on 4g or astroturf.
