On the attendance, as Telford don't usually give any seating to visiting fans would the over 100 Chester fans in the main stand be counted with the home support. Therefore that would be more like 900 Chester in reality. Would have been included as I think everyone still entered via the two turnstiles at either end of the away terrace.

Sensational performance. Played a good team off the park (again). Best away game for a long time

My favourite bit of the commentary yesterday:
- "Gary Roberts wasting a bit of time chatting with the referee there, probably asking him what he's having for his tea tonight."
- "Well, going by how rash he was with that red card, probably something ridiculous like sushi."
Made no sense at all, but didn't half make me laugh!

That was a big win - another big side likely to do well this season brushed aside by playing great football rather than their hoof ball. What a great atmosphere we created. I still can’t believe the stats say there was more Telford fans than us - it didn’t look like it. I just wish we’d stop gifting every team one goal. Morgan’s red card was a bit harsh given the foul on Elliott just beforehand. Morgan has really stepped up to the plate over the last two games and didn’t deserve that. Glad to hear the gaffer thinking about an appeal - otherwise we are looking a bit thin on right backs. Jackson will have to drop back to right back which will be a waste as he has shown his best position is on the wing. Putting Brad Jackson back to full back would be a gift to the opposition. He's so pivotal to our attacking intent. Matty Thomson deserves his chance.

I think they may opt to move Grand to right back (he can probably do alright there) and put James Jones in the middle. Definitely don't want to see Jackson moved to right back.

If Morgan and Roberts are unavailable then Matty Thomson has to get the nod, otherwise what was the point in retaining him?

If Morgan and Roberts are unavailable then Matty Thomson has to get the nod, otherwise what was the point in retaining him? I’m sure that if he has shown enough in training he will get his chance we don’t really want to go back to putting centre backs into the fullback positions as Alty usually have two quick wingers so we would play into their hands.

The pace in this team frightens the opposition. Jackson, Taylor, Hughes and Saint Asante are lightening quick. Dudley is no slouch too.
The midfield two mop things up and get it out to the wings.
I’ve not known a Chester team with this level of pace and fitness since the Conference winning team.
Dare I say it but for the past month it has been men verses boys.

Got to give Matty Thompson a go or put James Jones to right back. Absolutely - moving Brad from his current role would be madness given the chances he creates and way he terrifies defenders with his acceleration.

We look absolutely everything you'd want to see in a football team right now. Strong, fit with quality in every area of the pitch.
The good pitches are playing into our hands at the moment and as Winter approaches, we'll have to rough it up a bit more and perhaps go slightly more direct. This was a problem last year and we really lost our way but looking at our depth this time, I don't think we'll have the same problems. Fantastic recruitment in key areas this summer.
We can't underestimate how good results like yesterday are. We're getting use to them, but we can't take them for granted. Telford are a dangerous side at home as we saw last year, we played them off the park. Guiseley are top of the chasing back and were lucky to avoid a 6-0 last weekend. Hereford were flying when they came to town and were battered. Nobody in the division should hold any fear for us.

Great game but I'm getting old how did I celebrate the win watching last night of the proms and listening to omds greatest hits oh well leave that as a souvenir Been away for 11 days and my first full day back was to witness us smashing AFC. I'm so so busy. Not had a chance to catch up with our cross-border neighbours. I expect they're p*ss*ng their league?

I,m fairly certain Gary Roberts has played the occasional game at right back aswell Yes, he played right back at Bangor but I prefer Thompson who is quicker and less likely to give a penslt6 away.

Don’t forget there were 4 of us Chester fans in their hospitality suite so add 4 more to the away following which was great. Fantastic first half but I have to say Morgan deserved to be sent off from where we were sitting. I was hoping it would be a yellow but I’m certain any appeal will fail. me and Robbie hipkiss in there as well

Alty's left winger is considered one of the best in this league. So a difficult choice for the managers. More difficult for us though, as we don't see the training or practice matches. Doubt they'll change more than they need to. Thompson is the natural choice. Not sure he's as good as Waters generally. But maybe at right back. Gary Roberts could either be really good there with his experience, or a liability. Not seen Jones there, but wouldn't think he'd be comfortable there. Especially against a sharp winger.

Goes without saying the game was superb yesterday. All over the pitch we were better!
One noticeable difference happened with Roberts came on and we pushed Glendon further forward though, we couldn’t keep the ball! Glendon is such a player at this level he kept us composed and keeps the ball moving, I felt we lost that when he pushed on a bit. He would be the first midfielder on my team sheet at the moment.

I noticed this too, I’m not sure Roberts and Burton playing next to each other works too well tbh.

The sending off has been posted on their forum. My view of it was slightly obstructed on Sat but having seen it again I don't think we can have any complaints about the decision.

My view exactly as I posted earlier. There was no need to make that tackle in the area in which it took place. But still a fantastic team performance,
