The only thing I would question is we should have another keeper here at the club to push him for that starting place, it’s ok to say we have a good young keeper out on loan but at the end of the day it’s the only position in the team where a player is guaranteed to keep his place even if he has several poor games. You need competition for places to keep players on their toes and we just don’t have it in the keeper position, I think that was half the problem last season we had a standby then but we all knew he was never going to get a game.

Thought the closing down was quick on Griffiths, he should have been quicker but he'll learn from it.

I'm not having a go here, everyone's entitled to their opinion but of interest how many Goals do you think Griffiths has cost us this season, you seem adamant he's a liability and "Possibly the worst keeper I’ve seen here" "He’s a dreadful keeper who costs Chester week in week out" I can only think of 4 goals he's culpable for. Just trying to work out why he's coming under such intense backlash from a good chunk of our fanbase. That's quite a lot by mid-October though, in a side that's 2nd in the league. I'm not jumping on the anti-Griffiths bandwagon as I accept he's young and he looks like there's a good keeper in him, but I can understand why some are concerned. Completely agree, I'd be interested to compare those stats with other keepers in this league, I can only think of a few mistakes from keepers we've faced. I'm just probably somewhat naively trying to address the hyperbole of "He's costing us every game" which breeds more animosity than is necessary, especially when many suspect that playing staff read this forum.

just watched the highlights. Both sides second goals were class. Not enough on Griffiths to form a view - apart from the awful clearance. I think he’s be fine if he wasn’t rooted to his line so much. It sounded from the commentary on Sat that he did come out and took a few balls. As long as he keeps developing thy at apart of his game I think that will be fine. But it would obviously be ideal if there was some competition for his place.

He also seems to have no positional sense (stays on his line when he should come out and the second goal for Leamington Spa clearly the lack of positional sense he has). I think most Chester fans now expect a costly mistake each game from him. I think you are being generous saying that he is only at fault for four goals so far this season. He is lucky to have such a good defence in front of him otherwise he'd have been exposed even further and I'm sure we'd have seen even more mistakes from him.

Almost as many as you did about how wonderful Mark Maguire was because he gave you a Mars Bar and a free ticket. "Onourway" asked a question and I answered.

Almost as many as you did about how wonderful Mark Maguire was because he gave you a Mars Bar and a free ticket. "Onourway" asked a question and I answered. You haven't answered though, I asked you how many goals you think he's cost us. Saying "I think most Chester fans now expect a costly mistake each game from him" when it's really only you who keeps making that statement isn't any sort of evidence for how bad a keeper he is. There's one person to blame for the second Leamington goal and it isn't the Keeper. He's lucky to have a good defence in front of him is a straw man argument, he is part of that defence and can only deal with what's actually happening, you imagining him letting in more goals given the opportunity isn't a statement of fact on his keeping ability. You've seem to have made your mind up and may be proved right over time, we won't probably won't ever agree on this, but here's hoping he proves himself and our defensive record improves and we get 6 points out of the next two and sit firmly top of the league.

Just a quick post script to the Akwase goal. Didn't see this live or even at first on the highlights. I think there is excellence from all three players involved - the original ball - class - Jackson's cross - made it look easy but it was great. But one very small detail made the goal possible. As Akwase is on his run to meet the cross he just slightly changes his course to the left away from the defender. This gives him the space and advantage to meet the cross perfectly - without it he would have had to meet the cross in a challenge with the defender. Small point, but I think absolutely instinctive and what makes him a great striker. Altogether the goal is a thing of great beauty.

It's a fantastic goal that shows the synergy between the players. All the more impressive that it can come after a fortnight without a game.

Cracking game especially the second half. Atmosphere was fun and got a bit lively when we went in front. Kings Lynn fans lobbing anything the could find over the fence from beer to cans of deodorant. Copper said to me has someone just thrown that over the fence? I said yeah.... He said are you Sure? I said no I think it's Right Guard I dont think he got it. Had a lively chat with a few Kings Lynn fans after the match on the way back to the Lord Napier who laid on free pies, quiche and a decent pint. All in all a decent day out. It's fun embracing the s*itness. KLFC - Club statement November 15, 2019 Following a meeting between the King’s Lynn Town football club safety advisory group and representatives of the local authorities, including Norfolk Police, a person has been given a banning order from attending all fixtures at The Walks stadium for the remainder of the 2019/ 20 season. This is in relation to an incident that took place during the fixture with Chester, played at The Walks on Saturday October 12th 2019 and another incident prior to this date. A second person has also been issued with a ‘ final warning ‘ letter in relation to events that took place , again during the match with Chester. During the fixture at Bradford Park Avenue on Saturday November 9th 2019 two King’s Lynn Town supporters were ejected from Bradford’s stadium for incidents that occurred during the first half of the game. These two individuals have been identified by the club and are also (in the process) of receiving ‘ final warning ‘ letters in relation to their actions. All three persons issued with ‘ final warning’ letters have been told that further repetition of their actions will also result in banning orders from attending all fixtures at The Walks. The actions of the persons above has seen the club being fined by the Football Association and warned of their future conduct. Indeed an investigation regarding last weekend’s incidents are still ongoing. It is with all of these factors taken into account that the club are now adopting a ‘ zero tolerance ‘ stand on such misbehaviour and actions. The club also wishes that all supporters read and are aware of a ‘ safe guarding statement ‘ that appears in every home match programme covering supporter behaviour whilst in the ground. As a club we value and appreciate your support of the club and team greatly. However we do ask that your support is given correctly and not in a way that could cause offence to others. We will be monitoring behaviour even more closely from now on, beginning at Southport on Saturday , to ensure this happens. Further incidents and allegations this season could see serious consequences for the club in the future. The club will be making no further comment on this statement.
