Just got back from a long weekend watching England and bumped into a group of York fans who saw our flag outside the bar and came for a chat. They say that they've been told by York it's 100% not an all ticket game. They reckon they should bring up to 1500 fans. Can't wait for this it should really be a full house.

Not sure how well supported they are but can only see 700 tops from them. I think they only brought 100 last year. Should be a 3,000+ gate but probably nearer 2,500.

They are top of the home attendances in our league and they took 800 to Alty. Top of the league clash and you say 700. A word with yourself son!!!!!

They are averaging about 2700 at home. Took 950 to Guiseley which isn't that far away from them so could be another "Hereford" moment. Lets see.

Both teams know how big this one is. I’ve been told by a York fan they’ve been managing the fitness of McNulty since early September to ensure he’s match fit for this one. They’ll get the usual 1,200 allocation and probably almost fill it so we should be looking at 3,500 minimum.

I hope they bring as many as possible, it's more money for the Club. Just can't see more than that but I hope I'm wrong.

If they get near 1000 then we should be hitting at least the 3000 mark for this game. When was the last time they took numbers over 1000 anywhere? A big deciding factor will be getting something at the weekend. Chester go top, get it out on social media and we could get a bumper crowd.

Be great if they brought 1000+, it's a massive game for this early in the season. Lots of interest locally so roll on a decent crowd.

Their own forum predicts around 600 to 700 citing various reasons.

It’s a really easy train trip for them so hopefully we’ll be over 3000 for the day - esp if we go top on Saturday.
Either way I just want to win it - it’s been a long time since I looked forward to a game this much.
It’s my birthday on the Monday afterwards so Bern and Jonno - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can I have a win against York for my birthday present this year?

I can see them bringing 750 tops. Yeah I think that won't be far off. We often get wildly optimistic away following predictions, it's surprising anybody believes them.

Hope york bring loads to add to what should be a great occasion, clarkey will already be wetting his knickers and i wonder what him and the stewards are going to do if york score and say 50 run on the pitch, they struggled with 4 or 5 leamington the last home game,a crowd of around 3400 for this one if our result goes well this weekend at blyth

Thought I'd watch the first 30 of the York City FA Cup game against Stockport. They're 2 up. Noticed most of their threat is constant crosses in the box which we are really struggling at. One Cross went straight in, the other was a 25 yard screamer but it went straight through the keepers hands. Stockport had a stonewall pen denied from McNulty, If Asante is fit he'll run rings round him.

From a set peice York were cut apart but somehow they miss, overall Stockport have been terrible.

They're becoming more optimistic of a bigger following with recent results.
Hopefully a bigger than normal pay for the club, 3 points and a hostile atmosphere for York to play in. Big game for our fans to get up for, all over the ground.

I just hope that this game is not like Stockport at home last season.

Rumours that both teams are going to be lead out by roman centurions from the Deva Experience in town Maybe bring back Gladiatorial sports before the game too, and we could throw McNulty to the lions. Give them something to chew on for a while.

McNulty is a warrior to be fair. We all take the piss but he’s a bloody class player and York are lucky they have the dollar to have him.
