I think if there is any money in the budget in January then I’d like to see us bring a younger centre back in who can put their head on things. Fed up of constantly seeing us ship cheap goals from out wide. Or perhaps play Kevin Roberts in the middle and play Morgan at right back. I do generally like Grand and Livesay but questions need to be asked when two experienced guys are getting caught out on the same thing week in week out. I’d sign Glendon on a two year contract and then get some money for him end of season. He’s a class above us, should be looking at L2

It's disappointing certainly, but if this is our rough patch it could be a lot worse. We've come through two of the longest away days and a direct opponent for the title without being beaten and we're still scoring goals for fun, whilst currently sitting second having only lost once and still with the chance to go top next week. Can't understand how Grand and Livesy have become so susceptible to crosses though. (I dare say Livesy has been at fault for more goals than Griffiths so far) A loss to York next week would be damaging to a title bid, but far from sealing the title for them, there's an awfully long way to go yet and they've got to move grounds yet which could upset their apple cart. On to Saturday #UTFS Went to Nantwich today to watch them against Kings Lynn in the FA Cup. Nantwich deservedly 1-0 and on todays showing I would say Kings Lynn have no chance of winning the title particularly as Nantwich created 6 or 7 good chances. www.lynnnews.co.uk/sport/linnets-see-their-cup-dream-ended-by-solitary-goal-in-cheshire-9086698/

A point of interest ~~ why was Dudley benched. If Asante is not playing he should lead the line.

Shows how important Asante is, we win comfortably with him up front today.
Blyth did well but you can see why they're struggling. Easy to open up, we just couldn't finish them off.
Some stunning passing and vision from Glendon today. He just gets better and the best player on the pitch by a distance.

I think the reason we drew today was Rio's over optimistic prediction of an easy win which moved the players into a complacent place.

Glendon has to be one of the best signings we've made for years. He's at least two tiers below his level and surely can't be a top-earner having joined mid-season. Three MOTM's in a row now, wow.
Getting him tied down until at least the end of the season is the best piece of business we could do right now.

He’s only on contract until mid December, can’t see him staying even if the contract was right. He’ll want to be at least in the football league.

I imagine that Glendon's agreeing to a short term deal until January was in part, in order to put himself in the shop window. Can't see why he would sign another deal before waiting to see what happens when the window re-opens.

He will move higher, I have no doubt, but surely we deserve a little respect in appreciation, via a fee when he goes.

Highlights are on the National League website - www.thenationalleague.org.uk/match-info/match-centre/1-4488581The highlights shown on that site are always a bit weird. Looks like they missed Hughes rounding the keeper and hitting the post. I'd say their first is a good goal and wouldn't be too critical of it. Second is poor, though. Looks like neither full-back had an afternoon to remember. We're a good side but we can be careless at times. I thought that at King's Lynn last weekend with the terrible goal in the first minute, and nearly going 3-2 down by giving the ball straight back to them from kick off. Suppose it comes with the level we're playing at.

I think it should also be noted that the lad himself has gone on record saying he’s enjoying his football here and likes the set up.

I think Dudley is a bit of an unsung hero myself. Possibly a player you notice more when he's not playing.

I think we all know deep down that if we defend the way we have the last month against York we are going to be on the end of a two or three goal hammering, we have got to do better Saturday and we still have to win the game.

Yes the defending needs to be better, but anyone would think we were playing Barcelona.

Looks like it could have been 8-4 to us - with our defence no where near as solid in the air as at the start of the season.
That said there was some excellent balls from Glendon in those clips - can’t wait to see him against York on Sat. Is Asante expected to be available on Sat?

What was Kev Roberts doing on their second goal? - sold himself down the river. Some really poor defensive highlights there. The cross for the first goal was similar to the goal at Curzon away. No pressure to allow a decent ball in - great header tbf. The plus side is loads of opportunities created and surely Glendon will be snapped up by a league club. Far too good for this level. I hope we keep him, but surely there's only so much sh*tness that he's willing to embrace?

The chances missed were shocking, Just as bad as a goalkeeping error. I don't think the forward line will face the same criticism though to the keeper? It's a another gamble Just like the Alty game, it's got to pay off next week or it's 3 points out of a possible 12.

Yes the defending needs to be better, but anyone would think we were playing Barcelona. 😂 very average sides have been scoring 2 and 3 against us in the last few weeks, Kings Lynn aside so we have to go back to what we were doing well When we were turning sides over. One nagging concern I had during that period was that we weren't really "turning sides over". Those Guiseley and Telford performances were superb and they should really have been routs. It left me thinking if we have to play that well to win 3-1, we might struggle to get results if performances drop.
I'm probably being unnecessarily gloomy though. I'm not worried, this team can win ugly.
