Apparently he’s going to Ayr United on loan. Thats a good move near home for him , Grass is always greener up there .

No one is "obsessing" as far as I can see. As has already been pointed out, just keeping an eye on one of our former players who did very well for us and has gone on to play at a higher level. I for one am always interested to keep up with their careers and hadn't spotted this, so grateful to the poster. Same goes for the likes of Sarcevic, Goodwin etc. Or gone on to not play at a higher level, in Willoughbys case. Playing at a higher level than we are, anyway.

Not sure what the quality is like up there, although it probably said a lot when Connah's Quay almost won the Scottish version of the EFL trophy a few years ago.
Debatable whether he's made any progress career-wise since leaving us, but a different challenge I suppose.

One of the more interesting cross-border transfers yesterday though (not to contradict my point as they’d be hearing down to the Scottish Championship if not for Livingston!) was St Johnstone signing a lad from Warrington Rylands. Willoughby will be turning out at Rangers in just over a week’s time, as Scott Brown’s Ayr have got them in the Scottish Cup.

If he scores a couple against them it will do his career no harm whatsoever

I’d say the Premiership, outside of the bigger sides, is L1/L2 level, so if I had to hazard a guess then I imagine the Championship would probably be around National League level.

If we played in Scotland with our current squad we’d be top5 in the championship and someone like Chesterfield would be in the Scottish prem. The standard is dog shite outside of the old firm and maybe sometimes Hearts, Hibs or Aberdeen.

Ayr Utd have an average gate of 1977 this season.
Still, more than Fylde.

Good luck to King Kurt. I hope he scores a bag full.
Manchester to Ayr that's some commute.

I don’t really care if he does well or not, as far as I’m concerned we resurrected his career once and then offered him terms to stay and then I’m pretty sure we tried to take him on loan a week or so ago, if he had have come here and done well he would have been in the shop window again so actually I hope he will look back after his loan at Ayr and wished he had come here when he had the chance

Don’t get the bitterness towards former players who move on to a higher league and a better contract. He didn’t do anything wrong as far as I’m concerned. It’s a job for these guys, we have to remember that. As long as it’s handled in the right way. Not as if he did a Ben Davies or John Rooney. As for being in the shop window, going to Scotland didn’t do Heneghan any harm.

See KW got on as sub for a while. His individual ranking score of 2.8 doesn't indicate that he set the place on fire.
