Not sure if a lot of people are missing the point here. It's played under FA Trophy FINANCIAL rules, so the gate is split (after expenses to host the match) to help with Spennymoor's extra travel costs, presumably. I did not know that makes sense though

That ruling stinks but not surprising considering it is the national league board So if we had a game abandoned at say Kings Lynn you would be happy for us to pick up the bill for 2 trips down there

Why should season ticket holders have to pay for a league game just because it got abandoned? I’d be boycotting that game no doubt about it and I’ve been every Chester game this season. Also reading their full statement, it wasn’t even a league decision. They’ve just decided to implement trophy rules and charge everyone. Hope they get wound up. Cunts

Don’t know why the game was abandoned but this is the cost of doing business sadly. Spennymoor fans have still got to pay twice don’t they. Shouldn’t be allowed to charge season ticket holders for a league game as an extra because it got abandoned
