I wouldn't believe Al - he posted back in March about the club losing £90k+ when this wasn't mentioned at the CFU meeting on the night. More unfounded rumours. Not really. As a quick glance at the club accounts will confirm that prior to getting that 71K for Sam Hughes we were on course for a 88k loss... |

Well no, if what he's saying is true then when he said it, it was true. The situation changed when we offset the loss by selling Sam Hughes.
That would mean we're operating at a loss though, I thought we were making a profit?

Dave Powell has put this on the twitter. Club must of had some kind of contact with barrow if he's still in the frame

Richard Money has applied, i personally wouldn't mind him to be honest. An experienced manager that can get results. It'll be interesting who we go for, just hope it's not a big shock. Good news is that that American Joker, Matt Higgins, isn't on the shortlist.

Dicky Dosh would be a really good choice - I'd be a little unsure as to him moving to the Chester area as I think he still has his nest in the Norfolk area. He certainly did a more than decent fist of it at Luton and Cambridge; I think he may need a bit more dosh than what we could currently put on the table though.

Presumably these applicants have an idea of the budget and if was an issue they wouldn't have applied. I wouldn't be unhappy with Money getting the job - he's experienced but with a better recent record than the likes of Moore, and he's always struck me as a guy who won't suffer fools. I think we've all had a bellyful of the nice guy approach from Burr and McCarthy and these players just don't respond to it. If our top 3 applicants are Bignot, Money and Barrow then I'll be happy with any of those guys as they can each offer something a bit different to the other.

A fair few reckon it's Ronnie Moore who is nailed on to be next manager and this was the rumor starting last week before the shortlist was announced
