The offensive postings by Whopper 3 are a perfect advert for moderation a bit more like DC1. He's upsetting so many people on here and not averse to using language that you wouldn't want your kids to see, but nothing is done. He's deliberately upsetting people - obviously a WUM and Wxm supporter, but nothing is done. This is too far removed from the draconian system on DC1. Something should be done and W3 should be removed.

He's not offensive.Ok he hog's thread's and turn's them into 'all about him' but he doesnt offend me personally.
I'd say more enjoy's being and irritant.

Anything reported is looked at and anything personal or abusive will be removed and maybe the user. I'm sure Big Si and EWO will echo that.

DC1 behaviour would have been to ban him because of his opinions. We will never do that here. I hardly ever agree with him and think he could handle himself a lot better on here but he is just stating his opinion. I'd suggest if you don't like it then simply ignore it. If it's abusive, report it and me or the mods will take whatever action we deem appropriate. I'd personally feel uncomfortable about banning a volunteer for having strong opinions and being a bit confrontational. People replying to him aren't covering themselves in glory either.....if he is a WUM as he is frequently alleged then just ignore him otherwise just are giving a WUM exactly what he wants.
I feel we have the right balance on this board. The mods do a fantastic job and I'm grateful to them for their time spent keeping an eye on things. The debate flows well on here with plenty of contributors and plenty of different opinions. It's good to see that we still all have the passion for it all.

Not Sure if you know this but dc1 no longer has Canadian Exile or Devon Blue moderating, I think the moderating is more in line with this site, But I agree this site does have more than its fair share of Trolls, perhaps every once in a while you may consider posting on DC1, there's a few who post on both forums |

I don't believe the Whopper triplets should be barred. However, there is a difference between giving your opinion, and spreading manure. One is valid, and should be defended. As for the other, at best, it should be treated with the disdain it deserves. |
