Is like a a breath of fresh air for us he is performing CPR and bringing us back to life - The new boys he has brought in are making a massive difference and he is not daft and has worked out who the shirkers are - apart from that mad 2 minutes we controlled a good part of that game tonight creating many chances - What a coup to get young Archer he has electric pace and his two full backs are excellent and Zanzala was so unlucky not to score a peach of a goal - great skill - so all 4 of his signings are great because he knows what it's about - !a proper manager- special mentonight also to Dawson for that goal that's 3 now for him and he can certainly strike them sweetly- only concern is the speed of our centre backs but that's a small criticism tonight - Well done tonight and we should be grateful to have a great Manager nowith at the helm

He’s transformed the side with a few signings. We get through this season and just imagine what he can do when he can build a full side through the summer.

There's no doubt that the four signings have improved the squad and, remarkably when you consider the season so far, we find ourselves out the drop zone!

Last night showed the difference in attitudes between MB and JMc, that game was there to be won yesterday and from listening in on Mixir he did everything he could in how we set up to do that. I would rather we go after the home wins than try and defend a draw. Well done to all for last night there was scenes in my digs when the winner went in. Landlady asked me this morning what all the shouting and noise was about, i should know better at my age.

Yep, he took Shaw off and chucked on Bell/White can’t remember who replaced who but he threw another striker on for Shaw late on. A bold move as he knew how vital 3 points would be. McCarthy would’ve brought Zanzala off for Joyce and sat deep!

Think he took Shaw off as he got a bit wound up just after Half time when the ref penalised him

Gough and Archer were superb last night credit to Bignot for throwing them in to the deep end Archer raised to the occasion straight away and never looked scared of their Defenders Hall-Johnson was decent and Zanzala also had a decent little cameo

I was a MB fan from the start and wanted him over the other candidates. The more I see of what he's doing at this football the more I love him.

IF McCarthy had still been here we would b e so far adrift in the league, our season would be over. It's too early to say Bignot will do the business but at least we now have hope, instead of Mr Hopeless, and seeing some decent football with passion. It's taken just a few games for Bignot to realise the team that 'McCarthy put together' was nowhere near good enough.

Bringing passionate lads from lower leagues into the mix is exactly what we should be doing. That is exactly how McNally built the 85/86 squad. We’re never going to spend our way to progress in this league, and we aren’t going to get far with journeyman players. I like what Bignot has done so far - the 5 or 6 dross players can’t say he didn’t give them a chance either.

The squad has suffered from almost a year of poor management and we were neglectful to allow it. I've no doubt MB will now improve things, whether he can improve it enough to keep us up remains to be seen.

Some good signs definitely but let's not get too carried away yet. Exactly, it did sound encouraging but remember we beat a side who have picked up 2 points in their last 10 games and are the second worst form over the last 5 games. The worst, Solihull.

He's certainly made a bright start. Disappointing results against Woking and B'Wood but our home form was so atrocious that it was never going to be an instant fix.
Most encouraging for me is the way he's taken a step back from the pitch and looked at our infrastructure and made us a full-time team. That suggests to me he is looking to build the club, rather than just the team.
Maidstone is an interesting test really, now he's got a few more players of the right profile in, I'm expecting us to make a good fist of it this weekend.

Dead right and if Dawson had not scored the last minute winner, the comments on this board would have been completely different, such is the thin line between success and failure. it also has to be said that in the second half, our old failings surfaced and Barrow looked the better team. Nevertheless, we saw in the first half exactly what the team is capable of - forgetting the cock-ups in the final 2 minutes Whether Bignot can repair the damage caused by McCarthy and turn things around sufficiently, only time will tell, but I do know that in the last month I have had a smile on my face and a bit of hope when leaving games - I had forgotten what that was like.

I am not a Bignot fan but was pleased with what I saw on Tuesday from the players and Bignot gets the credit for that. I didn’t want him appointed but hope he proves me wrong. I’m certainly more optimistic about the Wrexham game now!!! Cmon you Blues!

Fair point about the "if Dawson had not scored" but any team getting a goal before half-time is bound to have their tails up in the second....so what happens when you score twice! Not surprising that our lot weren't the same as they were after 45 minutes - it must have knocked the stuffing out of them big style. Anyway the thing was we were prepared to batter them till the very end not sit back for a draw so well done them. "Justice" and "football" are words that don't go together easily or frequently but that result was a perfect example of how it should work out - not just 3-2 but the winner in the last seconds. Let's roll around in it but press our Reset buttons for expectations of a result on Saturday and not be too despondent if we don't get what we're all dreaming of. What we can be sure of is that Bignot will be doing his damnedest to get that result.
