What an absolutely stupid thread. The poor lad is just positive before each game, a positivity we need at this time. Don’t listen to the people putting you down Rio, you carry on with your enthusiasm for the club. You’re a true fan and I for one have no problem with your match threads. At least reading some of the comments provide me with some entertainment in this dull time 😁

I've got a dreadful feeling that at 4.50 on Saturday after another home thrashing (Solihull have bogey team status) we'll all be numb and looking at each other and wondering how did it come to this and thinking 'this really is the worst Chester team ever'. We'll be bottom and remain there. Bignot will make some excuses about 'wanting to spend more time with his family' and Tom Shaw will take over. We'll be relegated in March in front of 864 fans. Someone tell me this is just a nightmare.

I suppose the Conference was much weaker then, but as another poster on another thread said this team is so defensively naïve, seem incapable of passing and rarely work opposition goalkeepers. I saw every game home and away that first season and I don't recall it being as painful as watching this bunch. |

i think people have forgotten how bad it was - there was a stat in the NP in november or december and we were averaging one shot on target per match - yes it improved in the new year with the Burr bounce. i dont know how many points we had at xmas that year

I remember being at Dartford and went for a pee just after Seddon had missed a sitter. As I came out he scored the winner from what can only be described as a worldie. There was a clock just behind us and I was looking at it every 30 seconds. It was the longest 30 or 40 minutes ever. The final whistle brought such relief. I drove home ecstatic and thought that although the team was poor it was a fantastic 3 points. At no time did it ever feel anywhere near as bad as watching the shite on offer this season.

You wouldn't know anything from the club that we have a game on. It's massive game weekend but absolutely nothing looking at twitter, nothing via e-mail from the club either.
Its all to familiar story hearing ideas but nothing happening.

There were some pretty awful displays in that 2013-14 season, such as a 2-0 home loss to Braintree around this time of year where we barely threatened to score all afternoon. As dreadful as this season has been, I’m not sure it’s much worse than most other relegation-threatened campaigns over the years which were all pretty painful to watch.
