I hope all the people who claimed Britain was far too “Blitz Spirit, Dunkirk, Agencourt” to worry about the supply chain impacts of a ‘No Deal’ Brexit are enjoying the sight of their fellow citizens fist-fighting over toilet paper in the face of an entirely imaginary shortage.

Empty toilet roll and pasta shelves in supermarkets all over the place and that’s just due to a health pandemic.
If supermarkets are struggling to keep products on their shelves now, what the hell do Brexiters think we’re going to do when we’re no longer able to import as much produce from the EU?

If supermarkets are struggling to keep products on their shelves now, what the hell do Brexiters think we’re going to do when we’re no longer able to import as much produce from the EU? Maybe there is a bit of joined up thinking from our chimp in chief going on here If he has realized that we will be unable to import as much produce from the EU after Brexit, then, if he takes little or no action to prevent the spread of coronavirus leading to the deaths of the 560,000 people quoted elsewhere, then bingo, lower population no need to import so much produce, problem solved

Have all those take back controllers noticed that countries in Europe have been closing their borders independently? Almost as if they had control over them.

Keir Starmer elected as the new Labour leader. Out of the candidates, I think he offers Labour their best chance of putting together a credible challenge at the next election.

Mind you he’s got to be better than Wrong-Daily.

Is Leave/Remain even a thing any more though? I think the virus has made people realise how ridiculous this whole thing was.
In 2016, the government conducted a study on the impact of a high-mortality virus on the UK. It found then that there wouldn't be enough ventilators, but we did nothing about it. Probably because we've spent the entire time since then bickering about things like the shape of fruit and the colour of passports.
Anyone who based their entire vote in the election on Brexit, whether for or against, should feel stupid in my opinion.

People did though, most people anyway. Why else would the Tories have such a huge majority? Despite all our best efforts it proved to be the “Brexit election”. Now with Starmer at the helm all the Tories have to say at any next election is “we delivered on the referendum and Labour, if elected, will overturn the result”.

Sorry, but by this response you obviously think your opinion does matter. Let me assure you it doesn’t matter to me and your arrogance in assuming it does matter to many people is breathtaking. Though I suspect your coterie of little pals will jump on your band wagon as well. Let me reiterate, just because you think something doesn’t make it important. You spend too much time with SB and IHB.

Also, neither of the three posters you mentioned started the thread (the first post) so your statement is factually incorrect.

Are you as nasty to people in your family, or only to outsiders who don't share your somewhat extreme views? There's an old saying that obviously passed you by: "If you can't say something nicely, don't say anything at all." It would pay you to learn and remember that!

NHS staff in some hospitals are now reduced to wearing bin bags and borrowed ski goggles. This, in the sixth richest nation on Earth is nothing short of obscene and the politicians responsible need arresting.

It doesn't mean they're right, and I actually like talking to people I don't agree with. But all you do is give these terse responses that are equivalent to when kids repeat what the other people says back at them in a whiny voice. You're shutting debate down, not adding to it.

To be fair of the three of you you probably are the one who gives reasonable responses without insulting people. I find certain people make a wide sweeping statement then when questioned on it ignore the question and move on. Presumably because they don't have an answer to give.
