Is anyone else having constant problems getting packages delivered to them at the moment?
I seem to be having it all this year. Items getting lost and damaged, couriers saying they've left calling cards when they haven't. I've had two packages put through my door for completely different addresses.
For my latest delivery, I decided to get Amazon to deliver it to a local newsagents, which I thought sounded pretty foolproof. However, even though the newsagent has the package, they can't give it to me because Amazon haven't sent me the order number barcode I need to pick it up. The newsagents say this has been a regular problem. I'm now having email conservations with Amazon customer reps who don't seem to grasp what this very simple problem is. I really should stop using Amazon as they're a bunch of f***rs anyway, but this latest episode is ridiculous!
Maybe I'm just unlucky, but I'm starting to think online retail, especially at Christmas, has become too big for the network and manpower behind it to cope with.
