On a personal level I am horrified and not a little worried about the future of democracy with him at the helm.

You can't blame May for cosying up, afterall it's trade with the states and other big players that will keep the UK afloat after brexit (short and long term)
She's stuck between a rock and hard place, and you can actually see in her eyes that she doesn't want to do it, but must for the good of the country

Honestly cannot think of a single worse individual to be running a country. Trump's right-hand man Bannon is far, far more dangerous because he KNOWS what he's doing. The fact that he is now allowed access to defence information that defence leaders are excluded from (according to the Guardian app today) is horrifying. As for Theresa Mayhem - what an effing embarrassment. |

Rightly or wrongly he's about the first politician who has actually done what he said he was going to do in the run up to the election and those were the things that the American public wanted. Time will tell whether or not he was a good president, I suspect like all men of power he isn't a particularly good human being.

If ever there was a person so psychologically unsuited for democratic politics it's Donald Trump. The man has a paper-thin skin, cannot accept criticism in any form, displays extreme narcissism and is borderline psychopathic. Trump and his cabal of Bond villains are going to take some shifting and you just know it's going to end very messily. I just hope there isn't too much collateral damage.

Surely thing's are going to unravel rather quickly for Trump until he's a lame duck president? Finger's crossed enough official's on both side's can go against him at every turn thus making him unfit to govern...which we all know he is anyway!

The man is an absolute bell. But after Brexit we need our biggest Allies more than ever. I think this bloke is dangerous but we need to be seen to work with him. To end our relations with America would be international suicide.

All he is to me is racist and he is the first orange president. Their is a petition which is to preventing him from coming to any state in the UK, which has over 1,500,000 signatures.

There is also now a campaign Asking for him to visit this country. Started much later than the anti-Trump campaign, but already 300k have signed the campaign. Will probably end up with a significant amount of support too, not least, because We want a trade deal, and because we've told the EU to do one

For entertainment value he is pure comedy gold Democracy doesn't begin and end on polling day. The voting landscape changes every day and protests form part of the democratic process. I don't find anything funny about his behaviour myself and I applaud anyone doing whatever they can to show that they don't support him. |
