[br But it’s alright the abuse the players get from the customers,if I got abuse like I hear every week from my customers I be saying much more then f—k you. That’s right next to a match officials footballers must be the most abused people on the planet, and let’s remember our players are not on mega wages, I could handle any amount of abuse for £100k a week😀 I was making the point that it gave the club a valid reason to save some desperately needed money. Reducing the outgoings on his wages would have saved £40-50k (my personal estimate - no knowledge) over the next 15 months. We're not going to miss him much are we? I suspect that if I'd have received face to face abuse from someone just after we'd lost a match, I'd have reacted like Ross in the heat of the moment too. However, IF the finances as bad as feared, it is a way of saving us. Desperate times call for decisive actions.

Should be Tony Allens first job Monday The figures I am hearing are eye watering for all 3 though. Worryingly I have heard a rumour Halls and McComb have a 30 game trigger for a second year. Both on around 27 games. Need to get a grip of this now or we will literally be able to afford them and kids next season. Dave Powell's tweet suggests that it is more than a rumour. He says two players have the thirty game clause in their contracts but neither clause will be triggered.

It might be wishful thinking but Neil Young was in the crowd last night (actually sat in B Block for a few minutes chatting away). I'm led to believe he does some scouting for Halifax (?) so might have been casting an eye over some of our lot especially if cash problems precipitate departures. I suspect he was more likely scouting Hartlepool players given their situation but you never know.
