The Chester FC Fundraising Workgroup have a number of Football Scratchcards available.
We encourage supporters to collect these and take into their places of work, club or local to assist in fund raising activity.
Each card has 100 teams and we suggest that teams are sold at £1 with £25 being paid to the Winning Team owner.
If you would like to collect scratchcards, please see the fundraising team at the informal meeting on Saturday, 3rd February, or before any home match, in the Blues Bar.

Any idea who won it at the weekend meeting please I'm not sure who won it Saturday but I heard they didn't take the winnings so the full £100 went to the club. One was done in the Chi Saturday night too and the full £100 from that was sent to the club. They're a good idea but I think getting 100 names down is a big ask, especially for people who work in a small company .

There are much smaller ones available to buy on ebay etc and it doesn't have to be a pound a square either, every little helps.

With these. I purchased 100 as I saw them as a quick win for the Club. Basically, we just needed 100 supporters to take one each, sell, them at work, local pub, in the community where ever. £25 to the winner is £75 back for the Club at £1 a go which after taking costs out is over £7000 for the Club. Anybody who takes one. Please in the first instance give the money back to the fundraising team who will then pass the money on to the Club. This just helps us account for them. Thank you all Ed

Waggon & Horses St Theresa's Bears Paw Union Vaults The Bouv The Chi Would all be willing and popular waterholes for Chester fans I'd imagine

Sounds like a great excuse for a pub crawl.
Any volunteers?

I'll try and grab one tomorrow to put in the Waggon and one for work.
For the pubs, it maybe worth offering other incentives such as two tickets to a game or a choice of options? Or the cash equivalents. I do appreciate logistics maybe a bit more difficult however.
Club could get in touch with the Chester pub chairman - forget his name but used to run Watergate pub. Ask him to cascade to their list of signed up pubs to put up buckets/sell these cards in each pub. The pub which raises the most amount wins a hospitality package or something along those lines.
Good interlinking with businesses across the City whilst raising money within high footfall locations?

The scratchcard the Fundraising Team took round before the Dover match is 40% filled. We hoped to get it completed at the Aldershot game.

Our Fundraising Team was very busy at the Aldershot game, aside from the sponsored walk no less than 3 scratchcards were completed bringing in a further £250.
The one began prior to the Dover match was completed by those in the Legends Lounge. The winning team was Sunderland selected by Paul Ivison.
Two further scratchcards were completed by customers in the Blues Bar. The first one was won by the team - Yeovil Town and the lucky winner was Ed. Jones who donated the winnings back to the Fundraising Account. The second cards winning team was Mansfield Town and was claimed by Alan B in the Blues Bar.

The winning team on the Scratchcard that was sold at today's Bradford PA match was Hull City. That was selected by "Phil" however we cannot decipher the phone number that he wrote on the card. If Phil could email fundraising@chesterfc.com to provide his phone number - and tell us where he was when he bought the ticket as proof of identity - we will get his prize to him
