So, is everyone still thinking the Chester Select are going to walk it?!? McAteer right back, Partridge in front of him... Paddy McCourt flying down the left wing... To quote Escape To Victory... we can win this!! 😂 I’m sure every Chester fan will agree we can’t thank you enough for all your hard work and effort. I doubt you’ll ever have to buy a pint in Chester ever again. Just need to get your former co-host Bobby George assisting you.

So, is everyone still thinking the Chester Select are going to walk it?! ?McAteer right back, Partridge in front of him... Paddy McCourt flying down the left wing... To quote Escape To Victory... we can win this!! 😂 To answer your original question. Why should they? Surely a team of ex internationals and Premier League players should beat a team of ex non league players. Assuming, of course, that their manager doesn't mess it up with poor tactics and selection! No pressure then! By the way, your players may want to avoid a fifty/fifty ( or anything approaching one) with Michael Powell. Friendly and Powell don't belong in the same sentence. I'm still hoping we can persuade Michael Owen to play the second half in the Blue and White of Chester. Liverpool, England, Real Madrid, Manchester United and then Chester. Who could ask for more?

I am sure a shirt swap for the last ten or fifteen minutes can be arranged

Fair play to Colin Murray and Jeff Banks and every one else involved in setting this up. I'm away and will miss it but it promises to be an excellent entertaining night and its been a bloody long time since we've had many of them at the Swansway with the exception of Callum's young guns!!!

Listening to Colin on Radio Merseyside, Michael Owen was the main driving force behind this whole thing happening, so big thanks to him as well.

Feel free not to go into too many details! Could you name your little 'un after the match winner? Could be a bit strange if they have a girl! It would have to be Michelle!

This fundraising is absolutely brilliant, fantastic. Great response from fans of a club in crisis. Could we be permanently doing these fundraisers (or don't they work when the crisis subsides).

Personally would have rathered this offer to be raffled off to let us peasants have a chance of playing, but two grand is two grand into the club so can't complain too much.
