Would be extremely surprised if this was the case, he scored for Southport today. I'd imagine they'd want a fee as he's a contracted player and we can't be paying fees surely?

Agreed but we really need someone to help Alabi. Surely there is a club willing to let someone come on loan for a month or someone in the lower leagues who would contribute more than Kane.

I totally agree with you. But I think Macca will try and get by until the end off the season as we are now. I'd like to see any of our wingers given a go up top. I like Richards but the last few games have been poor and he needs dropping, Chapell or Mahon wouldn't be worse than him through the middle in my opinion. Some of Chapell's best performances have come from him playing centrally.

That would be great if Macca pulls it off. Where are the sources?

I'm 67 and have a dodgy knee, I could contribute more than Richards.

We won't be signing Allen this season, Southport simply aren't in a situation to sell/loan their best forward out. That's said, should Port indeed go down, we won't be the only side interested in this young lad in Pre-Season.

Southport are bottom now. They are certs I'm afraid. Surely Allen won't want to play in the National League North.

He's going to have to get someone new in as Alabi is unlikely to be here next season if he keeps playing like he is (although I would love to see him stay). Looked like a real handful once again against Tranmere and has been superb recently. Looks like Iwelumo is having a positive effect on James A.
I actually thought Richards had a better game against Tranmere but quite clearly is lacking confidence at the moment. Whether ultimately he can show enough passion and skill to continue playing at this level is debateable. But Alabi is a better player when Richards plays with him.

The downturn in our results started at Christmas which coincides with the last time Richards scored a goal. Is there a connection?

My problem with Kane is not his lack of effort but his obsession with falling down to win a free kick instead of going past his man , he can be through on goal with one man to beat and he All he thinks about is drawing the foul instead of scoring the goal

I'd give that youth player a go can't remember his name but scores quite a few for the youth.

I'd give that youth player a go can't remember his name but scores quite a few for the youth. Brown is quite a player but unfortunately his lack of inches will make it difficult for him to develop as a footballer.

The squad has been unbalanced for a couple of months now. Only a prat would try and pin it on one player. Enjoying the witch hunt?

There is a massive difference between the Chester league and the national league. He would struggle to get a touch of the ball never mind a goal.

So a swap for Richards would be pretty much 'like for like' then?

Perhaps I was suggesting that Richards was important to the team and his recent loss of form and lack of goals has been instrumental to our poor results, but you continue with your paranoia.

I think losing Ian Sharps to Walsall has been a major factor. We've only kept a clean sheet in 4 games since he moved on.

More and more rumours circling that we are signing Jamie Allen. Looks a decent striker to me. Will cost money as he's under 24 and Southport turned down a bid from Eastleigh in January so that will factor into any tribunal.

There you go! - I posted elsewhere we're about to save £17k in business rates and wondered whether we could use it wisely Seriously, can't see it happening, if other clubs with money are sniffing around, we can't realistically compete Mind you, player + cash deal (guess who)?
