Again Macca's influence on a poor player. Sorry bud but if he is having any influence on recruitment you are in serious trouble. the last 2 seasons speaks volumes. Fortunately Macca has no real influence on the recruitment side of things which is handled by Liam Watson along with a few others. If that's the case, why are you signing Davies? |

Sad, fake scousers who are one of many irrelevant clubs to deem Chester to be a rival. Plenty of comical, misinformed comments from the Southport faithful (so about three of them) on their forum tonight. Forget about them. First it was Ryan Lloyd now Scott Burton chooses us over the Southport dollar. Look forward to Lionel Davies bossing it at the Deva soon, with Macca on the touchline. Sure he'll receive a GREAT reception. Sorry but we don't deem you to be a rival at all. Davies will only be 5th choice midfielder next season so wouldn't be surprised to see him loaned out in order to continue his development. After he left you he went to Skem Utd where he played really well, is there a player in there? Who knows but it's worth a contract to find out. I've said to a few people that if our home game against you is on a Saturday then I'd switch it to a lunchtime kick off with it being all ticket for away fans. Liamaldo fifth choice? Who are the four in front; Salah, De Bruyne, Sane and Pogba? |

I remember that in the FA Cup, a police officer said the actual away attendance was 976 😂😂 |

Nothing against the lad, he gave it his all but you've never seen a player more out of his depth.

As others have stated, Southport fans, management and owners have been trying desperately to make us their rivals for a few years now. I quite like Southport actually. Easy to get to; friendly fans; we've generally got something there and it's one of the few places I've gone to see a non-Chester FC match. That was in 1975 when they helped us get promoted by a few hundredths of a goal when they beat Graham Taylor's Lincoln City. They were a decent 4th Division side back in those days.

We’ve just had to employ the services of two scouts, including the scout who recommended Jamie Vardy to Fleetwood. That’s how much we miss the scouting talents of the great Jon McCarty. Only he could spot the talents of Liam Davies and sign him twice. Keep up the good work Jon - we’re all missing you!
