Hello all, As you may know I contribute to the weekly Chester FC Fans’ Jury which is a feature run by the Chronicle. Basically, all Jury members are asked a question each week based on any trending topics which relate to our club. I thought that it would be easier creating a thread where I can just post links to each Jury rather than posting them in other threads on this forum. It would be great if somebody could pin this thread up at the top which would save me from scrolling down all of the time. Anyway, this week’s question is ‘’What parts of the Chester FC squad needs additions and which areas of the pitch should be a priority in terms of new signings?" Here is the article: www.chesterchronicle.co.uk/sport/chester-fc-fans-jury-we-14854376Thanks, Rio.

It was better as it was... Well I just find it easier putting everything on one thread.

Hopefully your only experience of a jury Rio Seriously though, good idea doing it like this, keeps those who are interested informed in one location.

When are we going to get some strikers signed?
Even if we sign 2 strikers today, there's no guarantee that they'll be any good or even able to get match fit.
Am I being overly concerned?

Given that we only had one striker. 2 strikers would be a massive step forward. Lol

What a bizarre comment. There’s no guarantee for any signing in the world. To put your mind at rest, there should be an attacking midfielder who can play up front and a lower league striker signing today.

Strikers are always hard to come by i imagine Johnson & Morley are working with the Scouts all day and everyday to find the perfect fit
Be patient

There's nothing bizarre about being concerned that 3 weeks from our first games we have NO strikers. The idea of pre-season fixtures apart from getting some cash in is to work on fitness and formations.

I can understand a cheeky young thing like McNally, but you ought to know better BillyW. If having no strikers 3 weeks before the season kicks off is bizarre, name another team in the same situation.

I share your concern that we don't have a striker on the books with the new season almost upon us but what is bizaare is your comment that there is no guarantee that any new strikers will be any good. You get guarantees with electric kettles not footballers.

How do I apply to get on the Fans Jury? We’re very short on Jury members at the moment so I’m sure the Chronicle will appreciate your contribution. John McDougall is running it for the time being so I’d advise you to send an email to John.mcdougall@reachplc.com.

I've known us to be heading into a Saturday fixture with no strikers.
I'm sure they're working on it. Is it ideal? No, but neither is having a huge chunk of an already modest wage budget used to pay off two players. Think some people have forgotten the limitations we're working under.

I’d be looking to bring in a big boned beast of a man to cause mayhem up front. Love playing with a monster upfront, something quite satisfying about watching them in action.
