When we were last in the North we were able to have a drink in the stands. Do you think this will happen again?

I was thinking this. I remember definitely being able to do it in the Evostik leagues but could remember if it stopped at North or national level. I thought it might have been this level it stopped as the the three national leagues would be governed by the same set of rules. Be nice for some clarification though!

We should be fine as we are no longer in the Conference National Division.
Also note the title of the act versus the only sport mentioned in the details of the act. Disgraceful, archaic and wrong. Give FSF_Faircop a follow on Twitter to see some of the stories about how football fans are treated by the police compared to any other member of society.

You would hope that Dougherty & Allen would be onto this like a tramp on chips. Its legal, something that the supporters want and a great way to increase the profits that our club gets a share of. No brainer.

Unless NLN and NLS are considered "associate members" of the NLP, as detailed in the Act...

Indeed. Trying to remember if it was definitely NLN though - those three seasons were all just a blurred haze as we were all drunk on success!

Would be totally stupid for us not to take advantage of this, more money for the club aswell if we did do this let's have some good choices of beer not just your standard £4 bottle or carlsberg. Would make the whole experience of going to games a lot better too

Unless NLN and NLS are considered "associate members" of the NLP, as detailed in the Act... As long as terraces, stands etc are included in the clubs licence, it's permitted in leagues below the NLP.

Perhaps with some very well trained, attractive and attentive, waiting staff … would also tick some boxes on todays other terrace thread....

Whilst selling Carlsberg in the ground would be a start, it would be good to start selling craft beers too or at least in the Blues bar.
However if we only have a deal with Carlsberg, then we might be limited to their products (eg Tetleys, Tuborg, Somersby, San Miguel).

Fully agree with this, salford when they were in this league sold cans off beer and then poured into plastic glasses we should do the same it's cheap and easy and can make some money, runcorn did the same this pre season too

Why not organise a Chester FC beer fest? Add to that a band or two and food and you have a fundraiser?

Surely a precedent been set?

I think there might have been an issue with licencing and the SAG Someone at the club should get a grip on this SAG fun police group. They should be there to facilitate us doing what we want to do, in a safe way, not ride roughshod over everything we want to do with this constant "computer says no" attitude!

I think it the beer festival was held more than once. Remember another occasion in the Blues Bar when there were two lads playing music, and it ended with them being drowned out by anti-Wrexham songs. They took it in good humour, to be fair to them!

You can drink in view of the pitch below national division football. I believe that all the kiosks still come under th bar licence so would assume Doughertys would be all over this unless they've been told otherwise.

Would begrudge paying £3 for a little bottle of Carlsberg when it's only £2.80 a pint on draught in the Blues Bar.
