Chester were 33/1 to get relegated yesterday morning with a couple of bookies. Those odds may look inflated to us, but these people do this for a living. They usually aren't far off. I share the concerns of most on here regarding the contracts for next season. If it's 'majority' of the squad, then ok. That give us the ability to bring in new players to give everybody a lift. Including the fans. It can't possibly be 'all' the squad. That makes no sense, especially as we are bringing in players now with a view to next season. So I don't go with that happening. Macca is in his first season as a manager. He will have learnt more from the last 3 months, then the rest of the year put together. I think we'll see the benefits of that in our squad, and coaching team next season. Question - what happens to the offered contracts if we do get relegated? Hope there's a clause on there based on the league we are playing in. PS I did have a fiver on at 33/1. Hoping I don't collect. 33/1 may look inflated, but it won't be that for long if we don't start winning soon.

I think you lot have to look on the bright side. These days, a relegation battle is equally as exciting as for those vying for automatic promotion or a play-off place. Looking at your remaining fixtures, I run my finger down the screen wondering where you're going to pick up points? 9 games. It's in your hands. At least you haven't got the distraction of the Cheshire Senior Cup. You went out on penalties to Hyde in the first round Bearing in mind, there's a second round and then it's the Semi Final...
Your in for an exciting finale to the season
