It’s for the community though, not the football club. We need more backing in the Blacon and Chester community and that comes with presence which is hopefully going to be pushed more.

See the Chron mentioned we're interested in a central midfielder 'who has been featuring recently in the National League'.
Any ideas?

Would love to see Roberts and Hunt as our full backs next season. Holroyd would be able to offer something different up front so would be happy to see all 3 signed for a year. Absolute no on Roberts. Unfit, Wrexham fans say he can't get out of his own half anymore. It was so evident in the last Derby as well. If he was available it’s a no brainier , regular in the league above that were challenging for the title with the best defensive record and clean sheet records being set. The Wrexham fan base is much like our own in that they judge a player as either complete rubbish like you indicate or the next Premier League star when naturally most are somewhere in between

Speculation regarding talks with Roberts on twitter. Reading some of the muppets who reply to these tweets I am glad we have managers who know what they are doing , the lad is in his prime at 29 and played in promotion chasing teams in leagues above all his career (well bar his time with us!)

It is for both and looking at a couple of recent posts on here it is very sad that people on here can not see that. For Chester FC to have a future this project has to be a success and I am amazed at DC posters talking it down.

Especially when Stuart Murphy is putting his hand in his pocket yet again and not including it in the original million, everyone should really be getting behind this.

Reece Hall-Johnson and Alex Whitmore leave Grimsby. Both played for us before and the former is, for me, the best right back we’ve had since reformation. Would take both but probably out of our reach.

Grimsby must have one hell of a RB if they are releasing him. Is he being released or has he let his contract run down so he can sign for another club?

Theo Vassell released from Port Vale, alongside young midfielder Mike Calveley, from Chester. Striker/winger Dior Angus another released from Vale who may be worth a look.

I really liked Vassell when he was here, prior to injury, didn't seem as good after, but think he would be useful a league lower.

I think Vassel would be a great addition. Scared defences when the big lad got going as he was pretty quick. It’s that pace that we need in our defence (and with the resigning so we won’t have). I’m really worried we are going to have none again next season.

Hereford FC have announced a major increase to next seasons football budget. Director Mick Merrick said "We want to be in the play-offs basically, challenging for promotion. This year we are looking at a 40% increase in the football budget and that is significant".
"We never discuss figures as that gives competitive advantage to other teams in the league. Look at the relationship between the gates we get and the kind of funding that we can produce and that ought to make us competitive right up to the top of the league".
HFC's accounts for the year ending 31st May 2018 show that the football budget - that includes all football related wages (managers, coaches and backroom staff) players wages, signing on fees, bonuses etc was £331,000. Last season this was apparently increased to a figure in the region of £500,000 meaning that next seasons football budget should be around £700,000.

They underachieved the if they had a £500k budget last season. Ours was much lower than that wasn't it?

Full back from Kiddy and keeper from Stockport rumoured. Anyone heard this? I hope the keeper rumour is not true as County’ s first two choices have re-signed for them which leaves third choice Dane Smith. Kidderminster however have released their keeper Brandon Hall, an England C International.
