Anyone else see the “real life” Don’t Look Up scene on Good Morning Britain last week? The protestors/scientists getting hammered by Richard Madeley was pretty much a like for like copy of the film - there’s a video doing the rounds:
I've found some interesting background facts about this:
• Good Morning Britain is hosted on ITV, and ITV's major shareholder is a company called Liberty Global, which is owned by a billionaire named John C. Mallone.
• John C. Mallone is on the board of directors of Bank of New York Mellon, which holds investments in fossil fuels worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
• Interestingly, BNY Mellon resulted from a merger of BNY and Mellon Financial corporation. The latter has been a historic founder and/or major shareholder of several major oil companies, including Gulf Oil and ExxonMobil.
The mainstream media will always serve corporate interests, never the truth.
