Did anyone just watch the new episode of Class of 92 following the run in of Salford when they won the Conf North. IMO it doesn’t put Bern & Jonno in a good light, although I have some sympathy for them as they didn’t get any support from the owners who clearly think money should automatically buy success.

Just watched the first one, felt for Jonno at the end of that, could tell he thought they were on the verge of the sack. The whole Situation with Chris Casper was completely undermining them, no wonder they left. I’m sure Casper was clueless when he managed Bury so not sure what he could have contributed.
Nothing wrong with how the program looks on them for me, nice to see characters in the changing rooms and not some old suit going through the motions.

money doesn't all way bring success, its about having the right people in charge and behind the scenes, people that know there football at the level that they compete in and Salford certainly have that from a decent manager to experience scouts, coaches and players

Gary Neville comes out of it as nothing more than a self-opinionated bully boy and Gareth Seddon as a ‘bit of a spiv’ with his two bit agent emporium. The Dynamic Duo are two down to earth characters who would never have fit into GN’s plans as Casper’s role, along with a new manager was cultivated way in advance of the Cof92 programme first being aired.

Thought Chris Casper came across as a slimy character who knew very little and was up Neville's arse. Totally undermined Bern & Jonno bringing him in and what were his credentials for the job? Seems obvious that the Class of 92 wanted the pair gone long before the season's end. They were never going to give them the conference gig as they clearly didn't back them or believe in them.

Anyone who has ever spoken to the managers will know what they're about, simple.

I found it a bit odd that Neville and Casper were sitting in the office profiling potential new signings. Whilst that sort of thing might happen in the Premier League, I felt it lacked a bit of understanding of the game at this level as managers tend to control most of those aspects. The trust between the owners and the managers had clearly gone, and I can see now why Bern and Jonno left, when from the outside it looked like a surprise.
Also, it didn't appear to me that Burton was the key man we all thought he was. He missed 8 games through to suspension, and seemed to be on the bench a lot too. He was captain as he'd been there through their promotions and was a long serving player, mainly at lower levels.

I've just watched the first two episodes.
One thing which came through that does alarm me is the criticism of fitness levels, something that badly affected us last season.
Two late equalisers this season would suggest that things have changed but it would be interesting to learn whether the duo have changed their methods.

That was something that I picked up on too, but hopefully they will have learnt some lessons from their experience there.

It wouldn’t have mattered if Salford’s players were fit, Mr. Nasty (GN) was always going to have the Dynamic Duo out. If Graham Alexander doesn’t get promoted before the end of next season then he to will get the nine, ten, jack. Also, how long before all the die hard volunteers are also forced out because they don’t meet Mr. Nasty’s image of the future. What a horrible man - like his father.

Personally think you are way off the mark. Think you’ll find Bern and Johnno won’t have a bad word to say about him.

Quite clearly, his brother, Giggs, Scholes, Butt and Beckham are just like ‘Churchill Dogs’. Just because the Dynamic Duo - as you say - wouldn’t have bad word said about GN doesn’t mean that he wouldn’t have been ruthless with them both as he was. The chairwoman has done a super job over the years but it appears that she is out of her depth and no doubt he’ll introduce a new chairperson in the not too distant future. Just because GN has access to several million pounds does not make him a good co-owner. As sure as eggs are eggs, GN will be found out at Salford City FC. I don’t doubt that his college/university set up at the old Kellogg’s building in Stretford won’t be a success as he has financial whizz kids and advisors behind him. If GN had been a good businessman he would have had the training situation at Turn Moss well and truly boxed off, but no, he thought that because he’d played for MUFC he could get the result from Trafford MBC with little opposition. We agree to disagree, it’s certainly space worth watching though . . . Come on you Blue Boys

Their accounts were bad enough before signing Rooney and Lloyd in the National League. They've now found a legal loophole to no longer reveal what they're losing.
They must be losing millions.

Good investment I'd say. Salford is hugely up and coming as a city, particularly down on the Quays. In 10 years time they could be a solid Championship side worth millions.

Little bit pompous that reply when you highlight Salford Quays. Highlighting the Quays is a bit like highlighting Curzon Park in Chester that overlooks the Dee or the town centre of Chester and all its postcard views. Why didn’t you mention districts like Ordsall, Langworthy, Weaste, Seedley, Little Hulton et al which are pretty much downtrodden and in need of massive investment. You may well be correct in your statement re Championship football, but Mr. Nasty (GN) will not give a Donald Duck about Salfordians - in my opinion he is merely interested in his own ego. If he was so keen on helping the community of Salford, why did he try to ‘buy’ land in Trafford (Turn Moss) for his clubs training facilities? Salford has got masses of brown land which he could apply to use and prove his real worth to the community.

Gareth Seddon is the real life David Brent. Works out of his car and has the same delusions of grandeur. The part with the old bloke during the first episode is sheer comedy gold.

As I said earlier in the thread, Seddon comes over as a two-bit spiv with his laughable attempt at being a football players agent.
