Sounds like he will be decent for the level. Very pro-active from the management team to get someone in so quickly to bolster the midfield, but I can only think it is bad news on GStop for this to have happened - hope not!!!

Let’s hope a short term loan means Gary has only a short term injury 🤞 That said, this chap seems to have played at a pretty good standard.

How long is "short term"?

Sounds like a good signing and just what we need if Robbo and GStop are out for the foreseeable.
I seem to recall the managers saying that they were on the look out for another central midfielder in pre-season, I guess it wasn’t urgent at the time, but these latest injuries have highlighted the lack of depth in the middle imo.
I know Kev Roberts could do a job there, but I’d much rather him stay at right back.
I see that George had some off-field issues a couple of years ago and was cleared of any wrongdoing. Hopefully, this will be his chance to get his career back on track.

CFC have signed Goerge Glendon on a short term loan welcome George Thanks for the information WB. Your link confirms the signing, but it looks like he is presently unattached and not a loan. Bit of a shop window for the lad in that case.

If he’s half as good as his old man he’ll do for us no probs. Kevin was around the Cheshire football scene back in the late 80’s and could certainly handle himself. I seem to remember Harry Mac being keen on his signature at one stage.

Gary Stopforth was filling in for Jordan Holme on ‘I had trials’ weekly podcast and he mentioned to Gaz Seddon that he was having an MRI scan today, I would doubt he’s had the results of that yet but would guess that he has a 0% chance of playing Saturday or Monday and I’d guess at best he’d be out for 2 or 3 weeks (don’t want to think about the worst possible scenario!)

Wow looks like the real deal he looks like he’s a level or two above us, helps us out and puts him in the shop window.

He's got EFL interest apparently, expected to sign for someone in the next 7-10 days, playing a couple of games for us for free, rather than sitting around waiting.

Yes he did. Booked in the first minute and had a walk a tightrope for the rest of the game, but did OK by the sound of things.

When I heard our classy new signing called George who is too good for this level and has a history of off-field troubles was booked within the first minute of his debut I immediately thought of last season.
Anyway apparently he’s got FL clubs lined up to sign him within the next week.

When I read the out-line story of the case against him it had vague undertones of the Ched Evans case. It could have gone the other way though.

Sounds like we have him until at least Saturday - no bad thing as it sounds like Stops is injured and will be out for a while and Livesey will be banned. Even with Robbo back we’ll need some strength in the spine because Guisely are bound to be v physical.

I can only talk from what I've seen on the highlights, but he looks a decent player. Really nice dinked ball into the box for the first goal at Curzon.

You can see that the side are playing well and winning. Having a player of his quality coming into the side will raise the game of the rest of the side even more. Let’s hope he can stay a little while longer 😃

Maybe he would but I would be very surprised if we could afford him. It does worry me that he is apparently friends with the management. That is fine when he is playing for free to do us and him a favour but very different when it comes to a permanent deal we can ill afford.

Please can we keep him I'm sure he would work with us on the wages side as he is s free agent. He is a class above and surely worth a punt on a 12 month contract ? that could pay for itself in the long run if other clubs want him. I don't know what the situation is but I think we would be mad to lose out and think the gaffers should strike while the iron is hot. Get him on a contract because he must be creating interest and he will pay for himself in the long run.
