Roberts hasn't been selected in Atherton's match day squads for the last three matches. Is he injured or has he returned to CFC early? He only went on a 28-day loan. Which started on the 13th of August?

Laughing at all you muppets who wanted Bern and Jonno our in pre season and Akwasi released too. Hey this is a football forum and people have a right to freedom of speech it is called democracy, agree or disagree life is about opinions. What I like it is clear the gaffers read this forum as they often make comments how they know certain get stick etc but it says one thing they listen. What they don't do is take half the crap they read or here seriously, they are the gaffers and they know what they see on the training ground and they will live by the sword or die by the sword. So far I have 100% trust in them as for Akwasi the only one thing that upset me was when he walked of the pitch in pre season but he was punished for that, as far as I am concerned now he has more than made up for it.

Laughing at all you muppets who wanted Bern and Jonno our in pre season and Akwasi released too. You're an absolute clown. We all support the same team. One or two are away with the fairies but for the best part we all want the same thing. This is a forum and opinions are debated by the adults. Why come on here after such a brilliant day and pour piss all over things? Superb today Chester. Can't remember the last time we dominated a game so much. They could barely get out their half in the first half. And, again, there were several very strong performances. It's actually getting hard to single players out because the team performances are so strong.

In my hotel room in hot and steamy Bangkok. Brilliant news from back home. Keep it up lads! M.B. As it stands we have the best goal difference in the league, that's a refreshing change. Breakfast time here in Bangkok and it's still hot and steamy. But not as hot as this Chester team at the moment!!! I'm quite happy to hold my hands up and admit I was wrong. A few weeks ago I thought we lacked creativity and would probably grind out results rather than outplay opponents. So far, we've been superb in virtually all departments. Gutted I missed yesterday but will be back for Telford and another sparkling performance. Exciting times indeed!

Another great result and performance.
There is a rear buzz around the place at the moment. People are enjoying watching this team of battlers. This team have such a great attitude and this is surely from Bern and Jonno. Last year got off to a bad start (they were late to the job and the stadium issues early on weren't ideal) and I always thought it was unfair to judge these guys after that. You could see from last year we had the bones of a decent side but not the strength in depth which was apparent as soon as we got some key injuries.
This year, it is just amazing the strength of that bench. To be able to take off your strikers and bring on players of the calibre of Waring and Elliot at this level is staggering. To lose Livesey and have Jones slot in unnoticed (in a good way - he was different class to his poor pre-season performances). To lose the midfield 'Gary Dynamo's' and have Burton (who has been the revelation of an incredible season so far!) and Glendon put in performances like they have. And what more can we say about Jackson and Taylor! Absolute class. I also don't get the stick some are giving Griffiths. He's made a couple of mistakes and that is noticeable as a goalie. But I think the lad is young, has little real experience and with the right coaching and belief can grow into a great keeper for us. I'd stick with the lad and get right behind him. He'll come good.
Quite a few around me are mentioning going to away games again after giving it a miss for a few years. The atmosphere away (and increasingly at home too) is giving everyone a real good feeling. Life is so much better watching this on a weekend. It's such a great release from the stresses of life and that's what football should be about. I pity the armchair Premiership supporters who will never get to experience the buzz we get.
I would just urge any floating supporters to get down to the Swansway Stadium and enjoy the highs of watching this and bring a friend. It's gonna be a fun ride.
We're on our way, we're on our way

Going to see what odds I can get tomorrow. Chester to be promoted. Wrexham to be relegated?

Great game to watch. But please don't forget matty Hughes. Give him a contract before some one else does. He makes us tick

Notice the ref getting some stick from Guiseley fans. It's interesting because I thought he let them get away with a lot before booking Dudley for a first offence.
At one point in the 2nd half I thought the ref was about to lose all control of the game and if he had, he'd only have himself to blame for letting them get away with so much early on.

Exactly the same view as everyone stood near me. #9 got booked for a horrible challenge which was the exact same as a challenge earlier on.

Credit where credit is due, thought James Jones was excellent yesterday, as was Jamie Morgan after his enforced early introduction.
Burton looks a completely different player. Superb again.

Trying to be as impartial as possible, I thought he gave us one or two fairly generous free kicks (Asante's tumbles in particular) but could've been stricter with some of their more cynical tackles. He did OK, basically. Certainly didn't influence the result.

I’m with you on this one Lobster I thought we egged the pudding with some of the challenges that were made on us, yes some were fouls but do we really need to stay prone on the floor afterwards until a card comes out. We wouldn’t like it if teams did it to us so let’s jump back up and play the game, because when we do we play it very well.

“I think another key factor is the hostile atmosphere created at Chester. It’s a horrible place to go to and, all credit to them, they create an atmosphere where the crowd gets in the referees ear and they win all the 50/50 decisions.” “I only wish we had that atmosphere in our armour at Nethermoor.” 😁

I suppose we should be proud that we are at least creating an atmosphere these days. It has to be said though, if their players hadn't come to quite obviously injure some of our lads with their outrageous tackles, we mightn't get so irate with the ref. Guiseley were a horrible bunch and resorted to trying to kick us off the park as they had no answer to our football. You only have to look at them to see what their game is about. I also think at times we are too naïve and don't make the most of some of the tackles made against us. Too nice and just get up and walk away. So to see us not do that is just playing the game as others do to us. Saturday's ref saw what they were up to and rightly gave us the 50/50's. Plenty of ref's have gone the other way though. Guiseley could have easily got two red's with another ref. “I think another key factor is the hostile atmosphere created at Chester. I've never really thought of the Deva as an intimidating place to visit. Even on Saturday I thought the atmosphere was a bit flat at times. Everyone knows the first line of the 'we're on our way' chant and then it seems to peter out a bit and just turn into clapping. We do tend to protest loudly about refs though, which I suppose is what that fan is getting at. Refs at this level do tend to be homers (see Spennymoor last weekend) so can be influenced by the loudest voice.

Highlights:
Strange camera angle. We did particularly well in the first half given we were shooting uphill!

I've often thought that it can influence officials. May aswell channel it to good effect!

Who is the ref who does local games and turns up on his scooter walks around the pitch chatting to players as the game is on, never outside center circle...
It's Titch. A great character, but terrible ref. Should have given it up years ago.

Fantastic win, I felt the last 20 minutes or so we stepped off the gas. However what is the future for Mahon, he can't even get the last few minutes when we're beating teams now.

They escaped embarrassment today by beating Ayr on penalties, in a wafer thin biscuit cup and doing so representing England. Saw that. Crap really. The Scottish League is awful and Connahs Quay have been dicking sides like that. Why are they playing in it anyway? I thought it was only the Conference's top two or three who got in it. Not sure, it does look like "Oh it's your turn to do that that this year" Cup
