Having read the article in today’s chronicle personally I hope we can sort something out with a supplier like Nike as generally their gear is of reasonable quality. As I’ve mentioned before the club training top made by puma I have is covered in bubbles after being worn once. What do we think? Who would you like to supply our kit and merchandise and why?

Already seen the managers wearing Errea and I believe our chairman has a contact there. I’d be happy with them.

Ethical.
So not Nike and definitely not Puma.

I'd like to see injured and suspended players, along with those not in the squad, put to work making the kits. Surely save us a few quid?

Andrew Morris is quoted as saying "... we are discussing options and taking into consideration factors such as ranges, quality, lead times, cost as well as additional factors such at ethical working practices."
This is entirely the correct approach, not who knows who.

I presume this will be a board decision - not one person. It’s got to be the best overall deal for the club not just price, but stock availability and lead times for resupply. Retail price is also important I can imagine a meltdown on here if the club had to price a shirt at £60!!

I don't mind who makes the kit just as long as it's thick blue and white stripes front and back. Hate the all blue on the backs.

Well they should pull their fingers out, then because the lead time on this kind of stuff means we will loose Xmas £££a if we dither much longer 🙄

What are you on about? It’s a pre-season thing.

What are you on about? It’s a pre-season thing. Yep - got a bit ahead of myself there! Hopefully the normal approach will happen of the kit being launched at the last home game of the season to generate some pre season ticket wonga.

Are there any fledgling sportswear manufacturers in the locality?

Are there any fledgling sportswear manufacturers in the locality? I think the kit should be made out of polyester not small birds/feathers - that said, perhaps feathers would help our defence clear set piece crosses into the box a bit more competently 😉.

It will be a board decision but the intention will be for CFU members to then vote on the selections of kits available, which will of course naturally beautiful narrowed down. Jeff

Full stripes, black shorts, hooped socks.
Yellow and blue away kit.
Proper collars.
You know it makes sense Banksy.

What are you on about? It’s a pre-season thing. Not really. If we have a chance of winning the league, or (more likely) make the play-offs then we could sell a boat load of next season's shirts in April and May if we have stock ready to go. Ride on the crest of the wave..... make hay while the sun shines.... etc etc Aside from the ethical thing, i'd like to see us show a preference for shirts manufactured in the UK.

I would imagine our contract with the current supplier covers entire seasons, including play-offs so im not sure we'd get away with that? 100% agree about a UK shirt manufacturer though.

even if they are per season then if you are smart you contract to be able to do so any way and even if you don’t you take a flyer on it because that’s it’s commercially pragmatic thing to do - what loss has the incumbent suffered if you do - none, so they would be stupid to sue.

Christ that’s disappointing Why? its normally decent quality gear - I've bought a couple of their kits over the years and it wears well

Do they do traditional stripes and more importantly is the blue a Royal Blue or similar to the pale washout we currently have?
Could you imagine say Everton playing in that pale blue? It just wouldn't happen!
As the song goes "build it up in ROYAL BLUE AND WHITE".

Reading the kit thread on facebook Keiron Shields the director has said the badge and sponsor logo will be printed in the design, so I imagine the designs will be bespoke. I also see there will be a members vote too so all good.

I think this is a bit of a result - rather than stock kit we get a choice and the juniors design the away kit...that's far more in keeping with the club ethos.
