Just planning my next seasons fishing trips and wondering if anyone knows of some good venues within 30 miles of Chester.
The ones I already go to
Gweryd lakes
Lake tranquility
Glasdir
Lower ridge
Ruddy pond
Chester lakes
Tarvin sands
Milton Green
Would appreciate if anyone knows of others and a little bit knowledge would help thanks

I often see youths fishing along the river/viaduct above the Deva link road (from the Countess to the Blacon dairy).
Also further round the river alongside Mollington golf course just off Parkgate Road.

I used to fish the canal when I lived in blacon in 50s and 60s it wasn't great. but I believe its much better now

Yew tree fishery, Thornton Hough. 2 Lakes, mixed fishery, open match day is Thursday I think. Very well kept, sensible rules, don’t tolerate idiots. All methods work ok. Feed little and often. Enjoy.

I used to go fishing at the old BICC site. They have/had a couple of large ponds stocked with all kinds of fish back in the day. It was connected to the social club. Was well worth a visit.
