Very comfortable in the end. Wasn't much between us first half although I thought we did deserve our lead. Jackson's goal was spectacular.
After the break we scored two goals in quick succession and it pretty much killed the game off as a contest. Darlo didn't look as sharp after HT and we saw the game out with relative ease.
Important and much needed 3 points.

Good passing side Darlington, but not much in the final third.

I think most of us would have settled for a point before the game, but what a great performance by an inform side. Couldn't personally choose a man of the match as the whole team were very good today.

Great result and a 3-0 win was not what I was expecting at all. Only annoyance is Kings Lynn still flying and York keep grinding out results. Realistic aim now is to finish 2nd or 3rd to go straight into the play-off semi's

Good result against a decent side. Good move taking Roberts off I think he was getting angry. His booking was ridiculous don't know what the reff was thinking.

Credit where credit is due. I’ve had the odd moan on here. Namely, after Royston but I thought we were superb today. The new lad fit in well and showed some great touches, and he’ll only get better after that today. Jacko was outstanding. Defence and midfield did the ugly stuff very well and it was an easy win. Nice to see a good away crowd. Always like to see us play Darlo. A proper football club with proper fans. They are probably a better team than they showed but credit to us for taking them a part like we did.

His booking was ridiculous don't know what the reff was thinking. thought it was between jacko and roberts for man of the match, some of the blocking he did first half when darlo had a 10 minute spell was top draw, kicked the ball away and he got booked stupidly, ref had no choice so,like you say probably wise to take him off soon after, looking forward even more to york, if we can put same performance in again 3 points coming back over the pennines

Great performance today. When we play with that intensity and desire, nobody will beat us.
The key now is to do it consistently. Away at Gateshead will be a BIG challenge with our terrible record up in the North East.
Kings Lynn have been impressive but they will have a blip. We need to keep the pressure on them and York. It's not over yet but it is looking challenging. What I do see is that the Managers have half an eye on next year, bringing in players that will either win us this League next year (if we don't make it this year) or compete in the National League should we go up. This is a great time to be a Chester fan right now. We are far from perfect but things are good and the signs are promising for the future.

Thats a great result today and how refreshing for a Chester side to turn in a good performance in a big game at home in front of a decent crowd

Make no mistake, Darlington are a good side and it is to our credit that we beat them so convincingly. Too difficult to single anyone out for MoM as everyone put in a good performance, but the club has to do all it can to try and get Brad Jackson contracted for next season, regardless of which league we are in.

Brilliant result - so encouraged that I didn't even think we were near our best, yet we still made light work of a play-off team. It bodes really well.
I thought we managed the game superbly, it was really professional. Thought Johnston looked the business, a few things didn't quite come off but his intent and hard work were great to watch. He'll improve even more as he gets to work with the players in training etc.
Brad Jackson and Joel Taylor were both brilliant. Jackson's raw pace is terrifying, it's fantastic to watch a winger who is so direct.
We need to string 6 or 7 wins together now - we're on a good run of form and we've got to go to Gateshead and win. It'll be really, really difficult but it'd also be a huge statement to make as we approach the run in.

Good win today. Them being in good form and having some momentum actually played in to our hands a bit as they were confident enough to have a go at us. That opens it up for us, we struggle against sides who come and park the bus (most of them).
Great goal from Jackson, as Morley has said in his post match interview, teams double up on him but having Johnston in the team means an eye or two less is spent on him. Dudley was MOTM for me, looked keen today and pulled the strings.
Darlington looked a handy side and passed it around nicely enough. Couldn’t see them scoring though and didn’t really force Griffiths in to any action.

Having two fast direct wingers makes us so exciting to watch. It'll make it easier for us away from home as well being able to counter attack with proper pace. I really hope we can keep Jackson until the end of the season, it'll be incredibly fun watching him and Johnston on both flanks from now until May.
Great win but the top two also won, give it another month and I think it'll become very clear that we are just playing out the rest of the campaign before the season really starts in May. It's important to get third place for the home semi final. Ultimately we need to ask ourselves whether this side is good enough to go to York or Kings Lynn and win in a one off match with everything at stake. Personally, if we keep everyone fit and don't lose Jackson, I think we can based on what I saw today.

Going to be a top signing, I think him coming onto the right towards the end could mean an opportunity to give Jacko a slight rest, he's probably played more minutes than anyone else.

Can the club shop please start stocking the Danny Livesey replica bravery head band? It’s already made more appearances than Scott Burton this season.
Livesey doesn’t half put his body on the line for the club. Reminds me of Stuart Hicks.
Great performance and there have been some fantastic home ones this season and Darlington went the same way as Guiseley, Hereford, Gloucester, Southport etc.

Superb performance today. The two bosses are really filling the gaps in the team.JJ was excellent and must of put nearly half a dozen quality balls into the box.Darlo were a decent team and knocked the ball about well but no quality in the final third.Their no 9 must f been the smallest centre forward I’ve ever seen.!! If we do get another forward in I can see us at least making third place ours and we mite just push the top two all the way.

We do play better against the better teams, but struggle against the Leamingtons and Curzons, who 'park the bus'. To be fair to them Leamington never parked it last week I didn’t think Curzon did either. But we do seem to play well against teams that leave themselves open. Southport were the same. We just need to find ways to break down teams who are a bit more resilient.
