Now that we are all in a good mood after yesterday's top class win v Darlington what about all the positives.
I'll start the ball rolling with:
Never lost at Victory Park, Chorley P4 W2 D2 L0.
Never been beaten by AFC Fy£de.
Top goals per minute striker (goal every 75 minutes) Akwasi Asante.

I echo the above post re: still having a club to support. Celebrating the 2010/11 Evostik Division One North title with the players and staff in Cruise the night of Garforth was class.

Good grief! Are you alright, Hannibal? Here are mine: -We are still, I think, the only club ever to have to start again, and get back where we were with a flawless record (i.e three league titles in a row). Even Rangers didn't manage that in the Scottish leagues. -Beating Wrexham on their own patch. From the vague idea of a football club, to a win away at our biggest rivals, in a little over three years. Phenomenal! -Survived five years in the Conference on a shoestring. Great FA Cup run in 2014 included. -Superb youth set-up. Several players gone on to play in the FL. -Players want to play for us. Look at Johnston, that could be seen as a bit of a sideways move by some, but we have a stature and reputation as a club, helped by the two managers. I would say if you're a semi-pro player in the North West, we are THE place to play. -Viral moments. The goal at Darlington last year, the 8-2 v Aldershot, Durrell from the halfway line v Boreham Wood. -Faced a massive challenge in 2018, came through it all the stronger and wiser. What doesn't kill you... -Still 100% supporter owned. Yes, Murphy is helping, but he is a supporter. Always be proud to be a Chester fan. YOU have helped make this possible!

Our Community Trust has come on such a long way since forming in 2013, and everybody involved deserves a huge amount of credit. The formation of our women’s team, an under-18 team (plus a girls development centre), all of the initiatives they put on to support people with disabilities and mental health, and the King George Sports Hub are just a few things our trust are involved in.
When we stormed the Conference North in 2013 with 100+ goals and 100+ points.
Going from two goals down to draw at Tranmere Rovers.
Our youth team winning the cup final in Walsall in front of around 200 blues, and I’m pretty sure they won 5 trophies that season.
The additions of Bern and Jonno have breathed fresh air into our club, and could prove to be a game changer. Stuart Murphy is a massive asset too by supporting us with his generosity. With us remaining 100% fan-owned it’s a win-win.

When our little pub team went to mighty Wrexham and their massive floodlights, we hadn’t won a game that season and we beat them 2-0.

That was the figure I was quoted by a fellow Chester supporter who works in that area for a Premiership club. Probably not far off. Under EPPP guidelines Cat 1 academies are recommended to have a budget of "around" £2.4m. In 2015 Bolton downgraded theirs from Cat 1 to Cat 2 which they claimed would save them over £1m

If that's a true figure 2,5 million then that shows what a great job Callum and his team of volunteers are doing. But also raises some concerns that Calum is producing great youth talent but development is not quite continuing into the first team ?

But also raises some concerns that Calum is producing great youth talent but development is not quite continuing into the first team ? That concern can only be addressed by the first team management. Hopefully the right sort of loan spells for those players can give them the foundation to start knocking on the door of the first team. Must say, my main concern with the LADS is their youth development credentials. The production line and future sale value is imperative for our club.

First-team youth players this year: James Jones (albeit on loan) Matty Waters Players at the integration stage/out on loan: Iwan Murray Matty Thompson Cain Noble Lloyd Marsh-Hughes Players gone on to play above (and would otherwise be in the first-team): Sam Hughes (100k to Leicester) Tom Crawford (Notts County) The issue with youth teams at this level is that it's difficult to bridge the gap from u19 to first-team, but it's good to see us really utilise the loan system this season.

My main concern is with the current crop of 4 players . All had positive displays with the first team last season and showed how capable they were at this level .Yet have hardly featured in squads this season at all. Understand that LMH is injured but the other 3 seem to have gone off the radar completely. Who knows were they are or what their progress is. Are they getting developed or just off the wage bill.
