The lads left it late but came away with all three points with a 1-2 win at Solihull.

Finished 3-0. A semi final of a national competition now awaits. Congratulations to the players and management after the penalty shoot out disappointment of last week. They have all bounced back in style with back to back wins.

Another great win against a team top of group F and unbeaten in that league, as we are in our own.

Did I miss the pre match promotion for this game?
Was there was any mention of this game until the posting on the official web site earlier today? If not, why not?
Any other club would promote this. Before someone says "volunteers", don't we have someone full time at the club, who's job description includes commercial and publicity?
Apologies if I missed it the match promotion. Had I known it was on, would have gone down and supported the u19 again.

Can't speak for other social media channels but looking at the twitter there was a couple of posts, one after the match on Saturday, one the day before and one the morning of that got some retweets and likes.
Well done to the youth boys. Always a credit to this club.

Thanks for that. Unfortunately don't use Twitter or Facebook. Suppose it's an age thing.

Would I be right in saying that every game has been away so far?

The official website is crap. Nothing on it about all the youth games. Do they ever update it?

Rugby not very happy with the facilities and hospitality offering after their loss...

In the interests of clarity, it is not a requirement to provide food for opposition players. Equally, Rugby Town were informed of this several weeks before the fixture so the surprise is quite surprising really! We have never once provided food for opposition teams in the 30+ home fixtures we have played at this level of football in the last three seasons. Equally, we have visited clubs across the country and not had food provided.
As for the comments about the facilities, The Cheshire Sports Club has hosted our Youth Teams for a number of seasons and is as good as it gets in the City of Chester. We aren’t blessed with our own facilities and The Cheshire is more than suitable, particularly when compared with other clubs at this level.

Seems like Rugby thought they were playing Man Utd at Old Trafford rather than the Chester Youth Team, I understand it's a big occasion for themselves and they will be bitterly disappointed but as stated above if we informed the of the situation prior to the match then their statement smacks of sour grapes. Onwards and Upwards young blues.

Luxury coach and a pre match meal at a top drawer hotel! If they can afford that then a bag of crisps and a can of coke on the way home is surely within their budget.

Rugby not very happy with the facilities and hospitality offering after their loss... Bizarre! A post where they take the moral high ground regarding 'respect' - yet they are really disrespectful about our Youth Team set-up. Presumably they though that, as an ex-league club rolling in cash, we'd be whipping out the Ferrero Rocher. Sour grapes pure and simple.

Embarrassed for his players. They get tossed on the pitch and their coach makes them look like utter wet the beds on social media.
You lost in your Cup Final mate, move on.

Looks like a luke-warm buffet in a conference room at a Crowne Plaza - hardly "top drawer". Astonishing post, who do they think they are, Liverpool? They'll be asking for a mid-season break next. Embarrassing.

Looks like the post has been removed and also noticed that they are wishing us well in the semi-final. Their expectations were obviously a lot higher playing a "very big national league club (ex football league)" (if only they knew!!) and to be fair the pictures don't look good, they obviously saw this as a big day out and treated the Academy lads accordingly. They believe that they have higher standards of pre and post match hospitality and it maybe something that we should aspire to when we move to the KGV sports hub.

I hope we get some notice when the Semi-Final is about to take place. I watched quite a lot of the games the year we won it probably because one of the games was a fund-raiser when we nearly went bust and the subsequent games were well advertised.
