Lobby the league to split the regional teams on an East/West basis.

We could relocate to Dogger Bank. Then all games in the North East would actually be to the South West.

How close is York to being in the North East?

We could always get relegated to the North West Counties.

....simples when we fail to go up this season let's apply for to ho in the Conference South next season π Nothing to do with the North East at all. The simple answer is we're to inconsistent . That's all it is. Win one draw one win one lose one . We need these back to back victories more. Confidence must of been at a high after demolishing Darlo and then we don't turn up next game. Surely that's the management's job .

As I said on the match thread, I think it's long journeys rather than anything to do with North East. We don't have the treks down to London and the South Coast anymore, so the longest trips are the likes of Gateshead, Blyth, Spennymoor and Darlington. Royston was a similarly woeful away day. The exception is King's Lynn where we got a point and could easily have won, but we started that game poorly.
Whether it's spending hours on a coach, then having to running about for 90 minutes in the cold, I don't know. It is probably an older than average squad we've got.

Lobby the league to split the regional teams on an East/West basis. Actually when I first said the above it was only partly a serious answer, but having looked at the geography of it, it would make sense as the road infrastructure is better North/South than it is East/West. I think for teams in the West section it would significantly reduce travel.

It looks like the longest journey in it is Weymouth to Braintree, which is still under 200 miles according to Google Maps.
They may as well call it the 'Conference Home Counties' and the 'Conference Everywhere Else'. There's an argument for having three regionalised leagues at this level, as there used to be.
