Has anyone come across this character?
About time this sort of crap was stopped, in my opinion. The guys often outside St. Peter's can be pretty aggressive as well. You can bet that if it were Muslims behaving like this, there would be uproar.
Publicly insulting people over their lifestyle and beliefs (or lack of), and telling them that awful things are going to happen to them as a result of them, is hate speech as far as I'm concerned. I don't care what god they think is telling them to do it.

What, like our very own Brexit thread? Must have been a slow news day to report on this. Preachers have been part of the street scene in Chester for at least 50 years and are present at all the race meetings. Would you include the JW guys who stand outside Debenhams in your wish for a blanket ban? Must admit that I have yet to "see the light" but really don't find their presence offensive or as intrusive as the endless Market Researchers that I have to try to dodge around the Cross (BTW should we change the name so as not to offend non Christians?)

Don't agree with people insulting each other on the Brexit thread.
I'm all for debate, including religious debate, but standing there with a sign and telling people they're going to hell unless they change is just toxic.

Healthy debate on an obscure thread from a Non-League football club’s unofficial internet message board is hardly comparable with loudly passing judgement on complete strangers’ lifestyle choices in a busy shopping street, but crack on.

He must be on a tour of the North West as I saw him on Church St, Liverpool the other day and he had a crowd of 50 people around him. When I saw the headline I thought it was going to be about the guy in the yellow hoodie who stands outside JD Sports. He's become a fixture on Eastgate St like the clock.
