90% of Wrexhams 26k must have gone into Jake Speights back pocket. Nice little earner for him.

FGR figure is not that surprising Agent's eyes must light up with £ signs when they show an interest in one of their clients On the other side of the coin, how is Aldershot's only £56? - couple of tickets, signed shirt?

It's terrible on our part to be honest. Shows mills in an even poorer light, and adds to the speculation with some of our fans that he was on the take. Also shows our directors gave him to much freedom with the money, and even worse if someone sanctioned it. I see your not on the list, well done to your management and directors for not lining the pockets of these leeches.

Wrexham fans should be disappointed and angry at that.
Forest Green should be ashamed of themselves. I bet they still don't go up this season.

Wow, maybe we should set up as an agent and talk to FGR!

Despite the fact they're dealing with agents I'd expect the board, (any club board for that matter) to put faith in their manager when signing players. Otherwise what's the point?

The signing of the player isn't the problem, of course they should trust the managers judgment on playing staff. I mean the financial side, wages, signing on free, agents fee. I'm not saying they have to be there for the deal but surely something should be in place to check that everything is pucker and above board. As it obviously wasn't in this case.

Surprised Gloucester don't feature there. Fylde and York show what we're up against.

Notice how we have not paid a single penny in Agent’s fees and yet our own Chester supporting Agent sorted us out with Stanway. Maybe a bit of appreciation for him instead of pelters would not go amiss.

It only goes up to January 31 so if there was an agent fee for him it may have run into the next year since Stanway signed in late January.

My take was that an agents fee was only applicable when a transfer fee is paid? Agents make their bread and butter on their %-age of their clients income. Hence the moves at our level. More wages for player = more income for agent.
May be totally wrong though.

I’m sure that expert in all matters and private eye Frank Owen will be able to explain especially as he knows so much about the agent who brought Stanway to the club.

Didn’t profess to know much about him, other than he owns a kids swimming class company that we found to be very unreliable.

If I remember correctly, didn't the club say they asked the agent to facilitate the move? He contacted the player, signed him up, and he moved to Chester. If that's correct(?), then what has he done wrong?
A lot of this thread is just people generalizing and slagging off agents. Nearly all entertainment and sports people have a manager/agent, who has more expertise and time to help them achieve what they want, and help them progress.
A lot footballers are young and inexperienced. Without someone to look after their interests, they could be taken advantage of by club owners, managers etc looking after their own interests.
There will be good agents out there who genuinely look after their players careers and wellbeing. The better their player does, the more their percentage adds up to. It's the ones after signing on fees for themselves that are the problem, and should be outlawed.

No “agents fee” was involved with the Wyll Stanway move to Chester FC and neither will be if any of the players I represent play for Chester.

Never mind agents fees what about reimbursing Mancot for his swimming lessons.
