I didn't go last night but I watched the Liverpool man City game last year. I thought the standard of football was excellent.

Over December they played 3 games in 7 days at Prenton Park. That certainly didn’t help out Tranmere ! Not too sure where we would have trained last night with the game being on too ?

"This stadium is perfect for us. Look at it, it's got grass on it. What more do you want?!"
As a Blues fan living in Tranmere heartland, this doesn't half cheer me up!

I can't believe people are discussing women's football on here, it's not proper football, just a left wing media promotion, probably Sychdyn Blue is behind it all.

Savage that from the manager. The grass comment was bad enough but then the dig at the atmosphere as well! Feel like she's taken it upon herself to singlehandedly destroy relations between them and Tranmere.
Any extra revenue is gratefully received, however I do worry about the pitch withstanding all the extra games. Especially with a likely playoff campaign on the cards.

The Next game would be on Sunday 22nd March v Manchester City, day after our game at Altrincham.

The Next game would be on Sunday 22nd March v Manchester City, day after our game at Altrincham. I suspect they will play at least one of their two postponed home games before then, possibly the Man Utd fixture. They are still in the FA Cup as well, (until Sunday at least - they are away to Chelsea).

We've been training at Goals, over the road, a fair bit recently.

This season it’s been between 900-1500 at Prenton Park highest was 1,800 when they played Everton. 23,500 actually. That was held at Anfield, not sure what competition is was for but there was a Liverpool v Everton game held at Prenton park which brought in the 1,800.

At least half of the money raised should go back into the budget for Mike to buy new equipment and more products for the pitch etc.

Our club has to find an appropriate and permanent place (not the Deva) to train regardless of the model we use ASAP. In reality this is probably the only thing stopping us picking up the phone and offering Liverpool Women’s the ground for their 15 or so home games next season. We’ll have 30ish home games, add their 15 and our pitch could more than cope IF the first team and academy didn’t have access to the pitch for training. We’d be quids in and have more exposure. I detest Liverpool by the way but it would benefit CFC no end.

Slightly off topic but still on the subject of Liverpool and finances - with them opening a new large store in town, would it be worthwhile our Board asking whether we could rent a small corner of the store for the sale of our merchandise. No harm in asking.

Whether that is through sponsorship, or by hosting u23 or WPL games. Sponsoring the Main Stand brought us in £20k, according to one poster. Should try to get the Harry Mac and others sponsored too. Has it become too easy for us to rely on SM?

You may not want it here but clearly a lot of people do otherwise they wouldn’t be expanding. Like it or not, they are a business and can operate wherever they feel they can make a buck.

No harm in asking. It's a good shout actually. I always think those Liverpool shops appeal more to tourists than anyone. If people go in there and see another local club's stuff in there, maybe they'll pick up a scarf or pendant. Maybe even put up a sign saying Ian Rush started his career here? Getting ahead of myself now!

Why not beat them at their own game and open up a Chester FC shop in Liverpool?

Didn't know this was happening. How depressing is that! It's things like this that puts into perspective just how little chance we have of attracting kids to support our club.

we can't really moan.we haven't got one of our own in the city. The Town Hall Visitor Centre has a Chester FC section and sells a great selection of our kit, clothing and souvenirs. I bought some bits for Christmas from there when the markets were on. Good luck to Liverpool FC, if they want to take the extortionate rent and rates charged on that unit then let them.

The current shop has been there for years (prior to that it was the Everton FC shop - that clearly didn't do quite as well).
