It finished Bolton Wanderers 0-2 Wycombe Wanderers where the visitors thoroughly deserved the win. One thing that took be by surprise is that Wycombe scored their first away goal since November, despite sitting in the automatic promotion spaces. Bolton though were very lacklustre, and their sorry state was reflected by a silent and deserted home end. A sad state of affairs for them. Wycombe were about 6 points clear at one stage with a couple of games in hand. I think that might be their first win this year.

Yep something very wrong at that club for years they flitted between the premiershit and the championship all that parachute and TV money seems to have disappeared into somebody's wallet Yeah they were an established PL side for many years. Relegation from the top flight doesn't necessarily have to spell the end of being competitive if you're well run. Plenty of sides bounce back within a year or two.

Not sure what the thinking behind that is to be honest. The number of games seems a strain on part time players as it is. I think there's a good chance only one team will be relegated from our division. Depending on where the reformed Bury end up, there could be reprieves right down to that level.

They have now won 4 so far this year, but they certainly haven’t been too prolific lately.

Just that every time I looked out for their results they seemed to be losing. They've gone from top dogs with a decent lead to back into the pack. They are certainly in new territory. It only seems like yesterday that they were new boys to league football.

Just out of interest had the game been a home fixture yesterday would it have been postponed?

Probably. Wrexham, Buckley, Flint, Nantwich all postponed and it was torrential all day.

A few West Cheshire League games survived though including one played at Vauxhall.
