Can they not appeal to the FAW and get it rescinded?

Seen on Twitter that they are now facing a Premier League points deduction, as their punishment for ‘serious breaches’ of Uefa Financial Fair Play also represents a breach of the domestic competition’s regulations

They should retrospectively be docked 2 points for last season when their 'cheating' robbed Liverpool of the league.

... as things stand, they are guilty of breaking the rules in regard to previous and current squads, and yet are allowed to continue to compete for this year’s Champion League. How can that be right?

We escaped relegation because Hereford were cheating 7 years ago. Why should 'rich' Premiership Team be treated differently. Didn't their offences take place during that season. Btw I am LUFC supporter (since 1963) and only 3 years less than my beloved Blues.

Hereford were expelled from the division and subsequently wound up because they wouldn't/couldn't pay their players and other expenses. The situation is not the same. Man City are being punished for offences that took place between 2012 and 2016. To deduct points from them last season would be completely arbitrary and is the sort of bizarre action only Liverpool fans would call for, despite currently having a lead at the top of the Premier League that not even they can mess up!

Don't think any Liverpool fan would want them to get a points deduction this year as it will hardly punish them, yet you'd get bitters saying that Liverpool only won the league because of this.
If they are to be punished (and we will have to see if an independent review finds them guilty first), the points deduction should be next season.

However, if you break the rules over the past 2 or 3 years, you should also be penalised for that period. Maybe you wouldn't gave won the league that season, without the extra spending. Problem with retrospective penalties is that you know how any points deduction would affect them. Leaving it open to accusations of bias, or worse.

Good. Horrible, soulless club Wouldn't go that far. Got loads of City mates who supported them in the bad times. Easy to say they are soulless because of the money, but I still remember the days of the Kippax. Be interesting to see how they fare in Europe. Part of me thinks they'll create a siege mentality and be well up for it, another part thinks refs might be giving decisions against them as it wouldn't be great for UEFA if they did win it.

We now hear that they may well be playing in the Champions League next season as their appeal will stretch into next season.
