Silly boy. Should have stayed at Chester to continue his development😎 What a ridiculous comment. Crawford made the right move and looking at his last two seasons it’s more than paid off. James Jones set his career back a year. It isn’t difficult to understand that.

Why would any player who is offered the chance of full time football, more money, better coaching etc etc not seize the opportunity? Of course it won't work out for every player but that doesn't make it a bad move. You were trying to be wise after the event and got called out for it.

How many league appearances did he make last season? You're missing the point. Maybe he's not good enough, maybe he will go back there and get a new deal next year, maybe he's a slow developer, maybe he will be released and drop down a league or even two. The point is that if a team offering full time football and coaching comes in for ANY of our young players they would be crazy not to go. I don't understand why you can't see that. It's happening more and more now that teams take a punt on young players...offer them a deal (on not great money but better than they can get part time), then spit them out. But even if James Jones ends up back at our level I bet he has no regrets in giving it a go. It was a no brainer. Where do you stand on Sam Hughes, who isn't breaking into the Leicester squad? Should he have gone to a team in a lower league, or stayed with us for longer? Of course not, because what ever happens he will have benefited from being part of the Leicester set up, in the same way James Jones has at a league club. incidentally, Tom Crawford seems to have made 5 league appearances this season for Notts County

Curzon hold on and go knick a goal with not long to go, wonder where we’ve heard that one before... twice. Shows how weak this league is. That's a double for Curzon. Could argue it shows how strong it is that even struggling teams like Curzon can take points off the promotion challengers. Surely a weak league is one where the top few teams sweep the rest away week after week?

York City should have had it won by now with their alleged budget.

Surely a weak league is one where the top few teams sweep the rest away week after week? I was thinking the same. The Conference is similar now. Apart from the bottom 2 or 3, everybody else is competitive. Certainly more than it was in early 2000s.

York City should have had it won by now with their alleged budget. I'd call it a balanced league rather than a weak one, but I get what you're saying. At least one team will get promoted this season without being that brilliant, which is why I say there's no reason it can't be us.
If we're talking weak leagues, I'd look at the Premier League. One team being 20+ points ahead and setting new records, then suddenly losing 3-0 because they have to play a different centre half, that's the sort of thing that happens in the West Cheshire League. Of course, I'm not saying our league is better than the Prem because that would be nonsense, but for supposedly the best league in the world, it seems very poor at the moment.

Bloody hell. If we'd picked our game up 10 games ago and not lost 4 out of last ten we'd be well in the running.

Down a place but a really good set of results for us.
Still advantage King's Lynn but nobody pulling up any trees really.

Just checked and BPA have taken 8 points at home from 45. Could we possibly not win this?

Brackley 0-0 Boston Leamington 0-0 Kings Lynn York 1-4 Hereford
Some great results for us tonight, especially considering Brackley and Boston are neck and neck in the playoffs; if only we’d held on for that point against Brackley the other week. We simply have to win on Saturday at a virtually relegated BPA, no excuses.

This league really is crazy here we are talking about our poor form and in our last 4 games we've played 3 of teams of the teams currently above us and we have more points from those four than those teams.
Over the last 3 games we have the best form of all the teams in the top 6.

Altrincham 7 points (W.2 D.1 L.1) 4. Farsley 7 points (W.2 D.1 L.1) 5. Boston 7 points (W.2 D.1 L.1) 6. Alfreton 7 points (W.2 D.1 L.1) 7. Brackley 6 points (W.2 D.0 L.2) 8. Chester 6 points (W.2 D.0 L.2) 12. Kings Lynn 4 points (W.1 D.1 L.2) 15. York 4 points (W.1 D.1 L.2)

Our form is very patchy though. We are as likely to beat BPA 4-0 as we are to lose 4-0.

Chester 6 points (W.2 D.0 L.2) 12. Kings Lynn 4 points (W.1 D.1 L.2) 15. York 4 points (W.1 D.1 L.2) Apologies, you're quite right (although Brackley are W1. D3. L,0 - 6pts) so on the same points as us. Still it puts into perspective how tough our recent run is playing 3 of the top 4 in our last 4 games. And our points return is still favourable when compared to the other top teams. Once we have the next three out the way Bradford, Boston, Altrincham our run in is very favourable (with the caveat of the Gateshead reschedule) A win on the weekend and we're the form team coming into the Boston Match. which seems crazy given the run they were on. We had a our best run at the start of the season 11 games with P11. W7. D.3. L1. - 24 pts. Playing mainly mid table and lower teams plus Boston & Altrincham. Our Run in is more or less identical, Playing mainly mid table and lower teams plus Boston & Altrincham (with the caveat of the Gateshead reschedule) Our first 2 games (of the season) in that run of form were Boston & Altrincham then we went on to pick up 22p points from 27 available in 9 games. (W7 D1 L1*) (*the L being the Spennymoor debacle) maybe (hopefully) this is the stage were we return to that sort of form and It's not unthinkable that we finish finish the Season with a similar run and end as one of the stronger sides. One things for certain as we seem to say every week now, 3pts is a must on Saturday and let's build from there. Get through Altrincham and Boston is any sort of shape and we can give a real crack at getting as high up as possible and coming in to play off in top form. #UTS In conclusion I've spent 10 minutes looking at the fixtures and have somehow come the conclusion we are going up as champions. God help me.
