Non league football isn’t important obviously. It took a Premier League manager to contract the virus before the PL did anything. The Football League have followed suit. The National League are yet to decide. The FA, the governors of the national game, have absolved all responsibility onto the leagues themselves.

The FA have postponed all premiership and league football games until April. Our games are not affected - at the moment. As the BBC put it, all"elite" football is suspended - which for us could be a benefit of course I suspect the bigger issue would not be the risk at games for supporters given non-league average attendances, but more the fact hat as players start to be infected or have to self-isolate due to being in contact with family members who are (s a number of Prem players have been this week), then non-league teams with no slack in terms of 'spare' players they could put in to first teams will be badly affected and may not even be able to put teams out, meaning I think the non-league authorities will come to the same decision as the Prem and EFL have sooner rather than later...

I suspect our leagues will follow suit, but it will be interesting to see how far down the leagues this goes. Will the likes of West Cheshire League clubs keep playing? If there's no other football, people might start going there for a fix, which in theory is a good thing, except it isn't because then you've got a crowd!

Where will Riot get his fix?! What are the odds on him live streaming himself watching an MLS game online and then posting us the match report?
Actually Airbus v Penybont is still in place, as it stands...

That's because the Government were happy for sport in to carry on as normal, so no use blaming the Premier League, for not doing anything before now. Horse Racing at Cheltenham is carrying on today, which is absolute madness but you're only having a go at the Premier League.

If football is to go ahead at any level, there needs to be a maximum attendance agreed, I would've thought.

Absolute madness that the National League is yet to be called off. Don't the FA realise there's plenty of Clubs in non league that actually get crowds more than football league Clubs. Dulwich are expecting a gate of 3,000 this weekend.

Says how much the National League care when Clubs are getting their information regarding the Board meeting from reports
National League should do a statement even if only short and sweet

The FA Cup has been called off as well.
Probably is fair to say we could do with seeing a bit more leadership from them though. Shame it's not a naughty tweet or someone pulling their shirt over their head after scoring, or they'd be all over it.

Absolutely nothing on there about the coronavirus. At least the BetVictor League (as the Evo Stik is now called) and North West Counties League have statements, even if they're not definitive yet.

Worryingly, I've not read anything to suggest any level of compensation for lower league clubs that rely on match day revenue to pay players. The FA needs to lead on this, otherwise more and more clubs will be enable to pay wages, and then people can't pay mortgages etc.

The Spartan League (Step 5-7 South Midlands Football League) have suspended all games.
The decision to postpone non-league games remains down to individual leagues.
I’d expect more to follow suit by the end of the day.

This to them is no different to a big freeze lasting for 3 or 4 weeks wiping out the football program. They wouldn’t do anything about that and they won’t with this unless matches cannot be rescheduled, and then they would have to act, with regards loss of revenue etc

Chester FC‘s home match against Hyde United in the Cheshire Senior Cup Semi Final on Tuesday 31st March has been postponed today due to coronavirus concerns. This is a sensible call by the Cheshire FA, who have postponed the other Semi Final as well.
