Me too,, Harry Mc concession, car park and cup of tee = £13. It’s a good way for those of us who are not season ticket holders to support the club.

Looks like a good idea to me. I think it very likely the season is now over if the Government estimates about the peak of the coronavirus are correct. Extending the season beyond the date of players contracts, usually last week of April, could cost clubs at our level more in extra wages than they would get from playing the remaining matches. There will become a date when this is the case. Playing 2 or 3 games a week may get around this if matches resume late April/early May but the current Government estimate of the peak is May/June.

It’s a good idea obviously but I’ve seen the “look at me” Superfans already telling everyone how much they’ve donated to rack up their Twitter points.

I wasn't going to go today as I'm self-isolating, but I'm an ST holder. Well done to all those who do support the club in this way.

Fingers crossed that’s not the case but as you say I can see the season presuming with a Saturday/Tuesday schedule to finish the season quicker. Whenever that may be 🤔

How about taking the positives out of the fact that fans are giving their hard earned cash to help the club instead of using it as a negative? Full respect to those fans.

I think the club need to push this idea and endorse it on social media.
More likely to get attention if it's a unified approach, rather than a few good deeds here and there by individuals. It's a great idea and many would back it.

I agree Jack. Earlier in the thread I was not boasting that I had donated....it was meant to encourage others to do the same. Season ticket holders have already paid for their matches but those of us who pay at the gate could just donate our admission charge.

No I criticised those on Twitter coming across poorly by blaring “I’ve just donated 50 quid!!” - where’s your medal? Some of us can’t afford to do that.

If someone blares across twitter that they have donated £50 then whatever their motivation good on them twice over as it is likely to encourage others. SB you come over as a mean spirited individual, time to loose the chip.

I think it's a great idea if you were going to spend it anyway you're not going to miss it. I don't think it comes over as bragging by posting how much you give I think we all give what we can and am grateful to those who can and do give more.

Thank you to everyone who has offered to donate. Aside from the usual bank transfer method, we've set up a super easy link direct to our PayPal - if you just click the link below, it will take you straight there: paypal.me/chesterfcfundraising

I was going to send £20 but now motivated by this thread I’ve sent £50. I’ve just this minute donated the £20.00 you were originally going to send but kindly lifted it to £50. Now where’s our Twitter points and medal?

Just a dumb question: are season ticket holders doing this? Probably already have. I doubt we'll have any more home games until July/August now.

Season ticket holder but donated because I want the club to survive. Third generation fan and the club means everything. Massive memories over the years. Went to the matches with my grandad and Dad on Sealand Rd. Then home and away with the lads. Now take my old man to the match. Too dear to let die again.
