There’s more important things in life than football.

What sort of muppet thinks anyone is sitting there thinking about their "points per game ratio" in the midst of a global pandemic?
Just because they're so far from civilisation it will probably take another month to get there.

They played hoping to gain the mental advantage going into the enforced break that the points would give them. Didn't work out well for them.
He is rattled, and has shown a massive lack of class.

Strange reading that Stephen Cleeve has an issue with points per game. As things sit, and with Kings Lynn in second place, the current points per game would see Kings Lynn crowned champions! Incidentally, Chester and Gateshead would leapfrog Spennymoor, so the two ‘losers’ would be York and Spennymoor.

I think this clown, the National League, and the original response of the UK government last week will be shown to have been on the wrong side of history.
I'm also sick of the number of small-minded football obsessives I'm seeing share that stupid "Football isn't a matter of life and death, it's more important than that" quote. I don't think Shankly would be too happy to see what was probably a bit of a throwaway quip still regularly brought up and taken seriously in a post-Hillsborough world.

March 23rd - ' King's Lynn Town chairman Stephen Cleeve has taken to social media to thank fans for their continued support during the coronavirus outbreak.
The Linnets revealed last week that they are facing a 100,000 shortfall due to the pandemic which has led to a suspension of the National League fixtures.
Cleeve took to Twitter to say: "We have put the tickets for our cancelled games and a season ticket for the final four homes games on sale on the club’s homepage.
"If the games go ahead your donation will be turned into a ticket. If it doesn’t your help will play a big part in moving us through this nightmare. Finally, a big heartfelt thanks from me to everyone that has done what they were able to.
"I am well aware that many of you have many other issues to consider, so the fact that you helped the club in our hours of need means even more to me.Keep safe out there."
The Lynn chief revealed that the National League North club is so far dealing with the financial choppy waters caused by the coronavirus. "We are trying to do a deal with the players, a kind of compromise agreement, but with the government's announcement it may not be needed and we await details. Most players are being very reasonable and supportive. Under my watch we have never been late once paying in four seasons so they understand the circumstances."
March 27th King's Lynn reach an agreement with Buxton FC to sign left back Alex Brown for an undisclosed fee.

He's only doing what most clubs are doing. Signing the player is good forward thinking. They are going to be denied promotion as it stands anyway.
